I was driving around today and saw a far out of state license plate where they had written on the back car window, No Justice, No Peace. It got me thinking. Many cars and signs have said the same thing. If they don't get THEIR justice, there will be no PEACE. And yet they are referred to as "peaceful protesters" even when they tell you up front that there will be no peace. How can they be peaceful protesters when they tell you there will be no peace?

Putting aside the fact that this is just another moronic smear thread based on an anecdote you made up, the sign you saw does not mean "do what I want or I'll burn your store down". It means "we'll keep protesting until something is done about this."

Those two are not mutually exclusive.

You need to understand that it's all peaceful until you do something to them. They can block the road you're on, spit on you, steal your stuff, burn your business, vandalize your property and threaten you and your family but as long as they don't touch you it's all "peaceful". If you so much as lay a finger on them to push them away then it's YOU that is the violent one and the local DA will insure that you end up in jail and jobless for that assault.

Welcome to Democracy in America!! Monsieur de Tocqueville would be appalled that the term is being used to describe what's happening.

To understand "No justice, no peace," first consider the contrapositive. What would be the contrapositive of "If there is no justice, then there is no peace?"

How do you know the people in the cars are peaceful protestors or not - do you follow them around to see what type of shenanigans they get up to?

I think those cars and people with the signs should be on the look out for "moderate" people who seem to know details on what they get up to after they were running errands during the day. Some might even call that stalking.

Mr Person says what he usually says that this thread is a "moronic smear". No it is not, it is stating fact. We will not stand for anarchy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pics?

Only in your mind. When they say no peace they are telling you no peace. Therefore, they cannot be peaceful protesters if there is no peace. Peace is what makes a peaceful protester.

All of you take every word Trump says literally. Literally if protesters are telling you there will be no peace then they clearly are not peaceful protesters. If there is no peace then there is no peaceful protest.

I'm taking them at their word. They say no peace, therefore they are obviously not peaceful protesters.

They have said up front that there will be no peace. Are they lying?

We know he lies often. And you know that we know. Stop exaggerating.

You're just playing dumb. Why are you doing that?

You're smarter than this thread, aren't you?

Please start acting like it.

Protesters said no justice, no peace. Therefore, the are NOT peaceful protesters. That's their words and they have to own it.

Oh, c'mon. What a pantload. Nobody's that dumb.

Only in your mind. When they say no peace they are telling you no peace. Therefore, they cannot be peaceful protesters if there is no peace. Peace is what makes a peaceful protester.

But they're only *mostly* peaceful. *mostly* peaceful implies <100% peace, which I'm not sure is the same as "no peace". Unless you believe "peace" is one of those absolute conditions the existence of which requires there be no non-peace. Like being pregnant.

So maybe it's like someone who is *mostly* not pregnant being pregnant.

Also, I'm just spitballing here, but maybe "no justice, no peace" is intended to be understood in the way Bob Marley meant "no woman, no cry".

I think the founding fathers had a similar idea

There are a helluva lot of "anecdotes" out there causing damage to property and people's health.
