Fox News said:No evidence was found by New Jersey lawmakers to show New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was involved in a plot to close lanes near the George Washington Bridge last year.
Investigators found no conclusive evidence of whether or not Christie was aware of the closures. However, the investigation did find that two former aides of Christie acted with little regard for public safety when they closed lanes near the bridge, a 136-page interim report reveals.
A report commissioned by Christie previously cleared him of any wrongdoing and a lawyer for the governor said in a statement Thursday that the report corroborates that investigation.
"The Committee has finally acknowledged what we reported nine months ago — namely, that there is not a shred of evidence Governor Christie knew anything about the GWB lane realignment beforehand or that any current member of his staff was involved in that decision," Christie attorney Randy Mastro said in a statement.
The report will be supplemented if needed because several critical witnesses did not testify and some important questions remain unanswered.
Christie aides Bridget Anne Kelly and David Wildstein acted with “perceived impunity” by closing the lanes, the report says. It also said the Christie administration did not act quick enough to resolve the closures.
No evidence linking lane closures to Christie, report says | Fox News
This isn't the March 2014 report which was widely panned by Democrats but a new report BY NJ Democrats. This is corroborated by the a piece on The Daily Beast.
Of course, the Federal investigation will continue IMO though 2015 to continue to cast doubt on Christie politically, in case he decides he wants to run for President. So he claimed he wasn't involved and now it's proven he wasn't involved by those who would like nothing better than to link him to the scandal.
"But in a detailed chronology, the report argues that the governor had many opportunities to know about the lane closings, the political motive behind them and the involvement of his administration, even as he insisted he knew nothing." http://www.nytimes.com/2014/12/05/n...es-comments-on-bridge-lane-closings.html?_r=0

Amazing how we can continue to make a galactic size deal out of highway lane closures, but 4 dead men in Benghazi is a witch hunt.
This will cause the Left to stain their underwear. They were sure as **** that Christie was guilty as sin, even before the first steps of the investigation began.
I don't think many Americans actually give much of a **** about Christy or this scandal.
Given the amount of air time, attention, papers covering it and Democrats squawking about it for the past 9 months - you'd never know American's didn't give a **** about it. Perhaps, as maybe your are implying, the media just need to keep viewers and since it aligns with their ideology....

So bridgegate hurt him.
And it's OK for rioters to block an interstate highway.
Ah, that sucks. Kind of like what's his name from before with the "HIYAAAAAAAAA" phrase. It doesn't take much of substance to knock someone down in the polls.
I was going to post a very similar thing. The protestors in NYC shut down the West Side Highway, and they're cool. They shut down highways in MO, shut down roads in the center of Boston, shut down roads in NYC...but that's okay! Road shutdowns are only nasty, filthy things when the Republican governor of NJ's allies are behind it.
