Why would we want to keep them out, we are in a desperate need for workers and this will only increase as the baby boomers get older?
I think we should be making it easier to get in legally. Problem solved.

Conservatives will dream up fifty thousand reasons to keep people out when the simplest answer to immigration is having actual open borders, which is the true freedom/free market ideal.
We are not keeping them out. Only trying to get them to obey the immigration laws unlike the people believing they have the right to break our laws even before they step foot in our country. Why would we want to keep them out, we are in a desperate need for workers and this will only increase as the baby boomers get older?

I am not for open borders, but our current immigration laws drastically need to be streamlined and reformed. We are not keeping them out. Only trying to get them to obey the immigration laws unlike the people believing they have the right to break our laws even before they step foot in our country.
"I'm suing the state of Texas because i was injured/a loved one died committing a crime!"It wouldn't be hard to dive under them but if you got caught up in mooring lines or snagged on the (unnecessary) metal protrusions, yeah I think surviving family would have grounds to sue.
Well, I think cons should rethink this. There was a reason Bush gave amnesty. We get just as much having them here and they do being here. If they're here illegally that tells me our immigration system needs an overhaul, because it should be that hard.We are not keeping them out. it does interfere with their duties, because they use boats in that river...the bouys prevent the travel of those boats.i found this knee slapping hilarious..especially the " interfere with the federal government's ability to carry out its official duties" part.
Duties? like arrest and deport - oh no not that!
one BP agent said he felt like a travel agent, not a Patrol agent
DOJ sues Texas and Gov. Abbott over use of buoys in Rio Grande to stop migrants
The Department of Justice on Monday sued the state of Texas and Gov. Greg Abbott over a new floating barrier of buoys in the Rio Grande River intended to keep migrants from crossing into the U.S. The DOJ on Friday had warned Abbott about his administration's use of the ballards. have you ever seen the boats used by CBP? You do realize at some times of the year the middle of the river is the only place they can travel right?the crafts are small enough to navigate around the buoy lines

and anatta is wrong..Irrelevant... The buoys violate both federal law and our treaty with Mexico... Why does the GQP get all giddy about stupid shit like this?
im not going to argue the point, because the courts will agree immigration is a federal purview.Irrelevant... The buoys violate both federal law and our treaty with Mexico... Why does the GQP get all giddy about stupid shit like this?
encounters means that Biden is doing his job...and doesn't need Texas to interfere.im not going to argue the point, because the courts will agree immigration is a federal purview.
As to why the "stupid shit?" 7 million "encounters" under Biden should give you a clue as well as the border lands
ecology being ripped up by migrants

Great Buddha.this is completely inane. they use skiff or low draft type crafts in shallow waters, same as any body of water around the worldand anatta is wrong..
The Rio Grande is 60 feet at its deepest points and about 6 to 20 feet at its shallowest points. Depth varies throughout the river, depending on the time of the year (the river is more profound during the spring runoff than in late summer). As a result, the Rio Grande River cannot be navigated by cargo barges or passenger boats like it used to be in the 19th century. It’s only possible to navigate near the mouth of the river up to Laredo, Texas, in rare circumstances.

It says it is impossible to do so...you still have motors and the types of boats they use there are able to be viewed by anyone....it's against federal law for Texas to put anything in the Rio Grande without specific federal permission. One of their boats is 43 foot long and has 4 motors.Great Buddha.this is completely inane. they use skiff or low draft type crafts in shallow waters, same as any body of water around the world
