Why do they need a bill for that? That is what the bill is doing.
Just reject CF bids.It is setting the conditions by which new contracts/leases/whatever are made.
Well good. When the lease agreements are expired then don't re-up with CF.They aren’t.
Why the need for a new Law?The bill specifically allows for the existing stores to maintain their policy.
So they knew they were masking a dumb mistake but did it anyway. This isn't a matter of the state never realizing about the closing when they made they leases.
So this is the State legislating themselves out of their original mistake? This is that state deciding that going forward all stores within the state facilities will be open 7 days a week, and that current leases will be honored as made.
Just reject CF bids.

That was dumb!

Why would they need a NEW LAW for this?
Just let the State reject any CF bids for new locations going forward?
I agree, but did the powers that be not realize CF was not open on Sundays?
Did CF hide this information from them when they made their deal for the locations?
The original contracts were not entered into with the State but rather a 3rd party.Seems the State didn't realize CF's understood that or didn't realize CF's aren't open on Sundays
Are you leasing tax payer subsidized properties on a toll highway with limited choices and no easy off on options?Man, when I want to close my business, I just hang my "Gone Fishin'!" sign on the door. I ain't asking permission from anybody.
Not today, I'm not.Are you leasing tax payer subsidized properties on a toll highway with limited choices and no easy off on options?
And? I'm tired of people whining about simple crap.highway with limited choices and no easy off on options?
From Chick-fil-A to Taco Bell, these are the fastest and slowest fast food drive-thrus in America
Chick-fil-A has the longest drive-thru lines in the country, but still scored the highest customer satisfaction.www.cnbc.com
I would expect that the length of the line is not considered with the specific metric they used.
HOliday Inn Express! I swear no one remembers the classic commercial line anymore. Not today, I'm not.
But I did stay at a Holiday Inn last week.
Happy New year Callen.
Hell, I can't even remember...... uh..... well..... that.HOliday Inn Express! I swear no one remembers the classic commercial line anymore.
Yup it uses chick-fil-a as an example, which has lead to a PR issue, but ultimately it could have just as easily cited any other restaurant that doesn't adhere to the proposed schedule to serve travelers.
This proposed nonsense seems like a reverse blue law designed to punish those deemed to be too religious (not ‘woke’ enough?).
I suppose travelers can have their chicken nuggets on Sunday instead.I hate to say it, but since these are specifically facilities to provide services to travelers...and Sunday is a huge travel day...I support this as a state decision.
And Chic fil A can agree or remove those stores. Gotta admire their commitment, those Sundays would be big moneymakers. But...those facilities are designed to serve travelers and they will find one less service in a plaza set up for a specific number of food services on one of the biggest travel days.
