New PP video from Center for Medical Progress

What's your above comment have to do with your previous post, which was nothing less than what's called "slut shamming". That's not about reproduction. That's calling women a whore if there is an UNWANTED CO-CONCEPTION.

I agree on act accordingly.

Men should never place expectations on women to be the sole person to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Men are 100% responsible for their sexual behaviors and/or conduct. False expectations often lead to resentments and disappointments.
Agreed on the 2 way street, this is why child support is so. I was referring to repeat abortions, no excuse for it. At some point, wise up!

You so funny, Mr. Henrin!

Bring up the fact that men should be responsible and everyone stays on point. It's as if everyone is comfortable with that debate and no one feels the need deflect to the other sex. If however you start a discussion about women being irresponsible or even mention that a woman should have been more responsible you will find yourself dealing every ****ing male feminist from a thousand miles around telling you about how men should be responsible. I suppose people just aren't comfortable with discussions about how women should be responsible just yet.

Only to those who see it the way that you do. At the stages that the vast majority of abortions occur, such stages are significantly undeveloped, don't have the ability of awareness or the neural system to feel pain.

I'm not asking if the fetus thinks it's gory or cringes --- I'm asking if minnie (or whoever wants to answer the question) can say outloud of think about a fetus' limbs being ripped off his/her body and not cringe. Isn't it gory to think about?

The callous contempt for life these remarks show is disgusting. Reading them, I thought of a photo I once saw of two guards at a Nazi concentration camp. They were dressed up as white hunters, posing with big grins in front of a huge pile of skulls and bones as if it were a trophy. And yet, apparently, more than a few people like the idea of the federal government funding Planned Parenthood.

The Gulf Coast PP Director, Ann Schutt-Aine, laughs as she talks about tearing off a leg or two.

You seem to take great pleasure in describing it, nota bene. Does it titillate you?

Not all, mistakes are human nature, to keep repeating them, over and over, is idiotic!

What if the woman isn't repeating "mistakes"? Even if she is, why should she be denied an abortion? If one is okay, then 7 is okay.

What, 100 a day, in a region in a state?

100 a year, total of 50 US states.

from :A Fox News article from 2013 says there are about 100 abortions per year in all of the US that take after 24 weeks gestation.

From the article:

June 17, 2003
...
Of the 1.6 million abortions performed in the U.S. each year, 91 percent are performed during the first trimester (12 or fewer weeks' gestation); 9 percent are performed in the second trimester (24 or fewer weeks' gestation); and only about 100 are performed in the third trimester (more than 24 weeks' gestation),

Fast Facts: U.S. Abortion Statistics | Fox News

The stats since then have changed.

By 2012 the numbers of abortion were less than 1.2 million.

In 2014 the CDC reported less than I million.

Fewer than I.3 percent of legal abortions took place between 21 weeks gestation and 24 weeks gestation.

Some for maternal health , more for fetal health since fetal abnormalies usually do not show up until the 18-20 gestational week ultrasound. That only gives the parents with input from the doctor and tests to decide if they want to terminate the pregnancy since viabily usually occurs between 22 and 24 weeks.

About 100 abortions a year occur in the USA after 24 weeks gestation.

I know what your asking, Josie.

I wasn't referring to what a fetus thinks. Nor did I read anything Minnie said that alluded to such. A fetus obviously isn't capable of thinking or reacting. I have to believe that even the most dedicated pro-life advocates in this forum knows that. You were soliciting what the reactions might be for most persons who witnessed a medical procedure that resulted in a dissecting of an embryo/fetus.

Look, the procedures used to abort isn't an event that the vast majority of people witness. One's imagination can go in all directions if they were to create images of such procedures in their minds.

Most people aren't use to seeing "any type of surgical procedure" would probably have a reaction similar to what you described while witnessing a bowel resectioning.

Not all abortions wind up being dramatically mutilated as you've described. That said, even if a fetus (at a stage of development when most abortions occur) was remove 100% intact, the average person would probably find witnessing such a procedure unsettling.

We all understand what your asking, but why are you asking a question that implores the obvious answers?

She gets seven abortions and is not repeating mistakes? That seems hard to believe.

I also wasn't talking about witnessing it --- just speaking about it or thinking about it.

I think the better question is if the answer is obvious, what's so hard about saying it?

Pro-lifers are repeatedly accused of "appealing to emotions" when debating abortion. But you cannot remove emotions from this topic - it's impossible. A fetus isn't just a blob of cells and an abortion isn't just a simple procedure to remove a mass -- it's a human who is being killed. Sometimes that human's limbs are ripped apart. Sometimes that human's head is decapitated. It's a gruesome procedure that always results in the death of a tiny human. Only a robot would feel no emotion when speaking or thinking about abortion.

If, in your imagination, you feel compelled to create images of a blow by blow vision of an abortion that results in a dissection of a fetus that is so profoundly grotesque to you - and your images in your mind has inspired you to share them in this forum to solicit feedback in order to validate your emotional reaction to your self-concocted visions - that's certainly your right to do so.

If people aren't, or don't want to indulge you, while you stroll through your morbid imagination expecting everyone to jump on board and join in and share in your disgust and contempt for every woman who has ever had an abortion - with a remote chance someone will suddenly feel the same the way you do and experience an epiphany (or perhaps overwhelming guilty and shame) - I would suggest not getting your hopes up.

I don't need anyone to validate my emotions, RM. Very clever how you're trying to twist my words, though. Have a nice night.

Linked from Drudge is a Washington Times article about the contents of the 3-minute video that the Center for Medical Progress released yesterday. Here are just two quotes:

Ann Schutt-Aine, director of abortion services at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, says she’ll hold a fetus in place with forceps to prevent partial-birth abortions. “If I’m doing a procedure, and I’m seeing that I’m in fear that it’s about to come to the umbilicus, I might ask for a second set of forceps to hold the body at the cervix, and pull off a leg or two, so it’s not [partial-birth abortion],” she says.

…Lisa Harris, medical director at Planned Parenthood of Michigan, says pro-choice proponents should just admit that abortion is murder. “Let’s just give them all the violence,” she says. “It’s a person. It’s killing. Let’s just give them all that.” Planned Parenthood executives joke about decapitating fetuses in new video - Washington Times

Hot Air, the Blaze, Newsbusters, and other sources have articles too that embed the video, but it has been yanked by YouTube. I hope the video will remain up at the Washington Times link, but in case it doesn’t, I’ve watched it and confirm that these remarks were actually made.

Rep. Diane Black Slams Planned Parenthood Video | Congressman Diane Black

It started in the sixties telling women the fetus was a blob of cells. Technology and science has proved that a lie.

Look around at the absolute lack of respect for life around us especially among our youth. Where did they learn that disrespect that it is alright to abuse and kill another human being?

Kids killing kids.....

How sad is it when a kid tells his mother thanks for not aborting me yet you hear it all the time.

In the 70's when abortion became the law of the land since then it is now used for a means of birth control. It takes away the personal responsibility of protecting oneself if choosing to engage in intercourse. No need to take pills etc. just get an abortion.

Today too many of our youth now engage in sexual encounters with well over 20 people on an average before possibly settling down to one mate.

Self gratification for the moment seems to be the theme of the day. Unfortunately it results in pregnancies that are not wanted. These people don't care about life, they care about their own gratifications at the moment and don't want any personal responsibility for their actions. So as long as the abortion shop is up for business they don't have any consequences.

I can't think of anything that sends the message that life is worthless than that.

I call BS.

Over 65 percent of US women of child bearing years use artifical birth control consistently.

That's not including the women who cannot become pregnant due to a medical condition or a medical procedure.

No artifical birth control is 100 percent effective.

The stats are out there that abortion has become the new birth control.

I really don't expect you Minnie to admit to that. But Oh well.

The video was very disturbing. But then again it shows the deplorable condition our society is truly in.

Facts and stats say you are misinformed and I am correct.

Over 65 percent use artifical birth control consistently so NO, abortions are not being used instead of pills or condoms.

In the US in 1980s when cancer was linked to birth control pills there were about 32 abortions for every 100 pregnancies.

In 2012 there were about 22 abortions in the US for every 100 pregnancies.

And the CDC reported that in the US there were about 18 pregnancies aborted for every 100 pregnancies in 2014

Those stats include abortions for maternal or fetal health as well as rape and or incest.

Minnie you and I will never see eye to eye on this subject. You have been a staunch advocate for abortion at any means on this forum. It doesn't matter if the woman can feel real life inside her at 5 months, you are more than willing to stand up for her at that time advocating for her right to abort her child.

I get it

I don't agree with you.

And yes I stand by the fact that women and men who do not want to take personal responsibility for creating a life will fight tooth and nail to make sure abortion clinics stay opened 24/7.

The life means nothing to them. It is just a minor inconvenience easily taken care of at the closest PP.

well
thers are meat and plant consumption pest control weed killing all seems to be about on the same level since living things are killed and people treat it as OK

not sure why it would not be ok

I'm assuming that your post means that due to circumstance of birth that you don't have the necessary body organs to host the presence of a co-conception and maintain an environment for a human life to develop - possibly to the point it can be given birth to.

And I guess I should also assume that you are anti-abortion.

Do you believe that governments should be given the power to have "Special Control" over individuals who, by circumstance of birth, have the organs, which are capable of hosting the presence of human life...in order to ensure that all child bearing age females who co-conceive give birth? If your answer is, "yes",

then I have to ask, Why?"

Because life begins at conception and we are entitled to as much life as God and Nature give us.

She gets seven abortions and is not repeating mistakes? That seems hard to believe.

Show where I said she isn't.

I once knew a woman who got pregnant 3 times on the pill. After each pregnancy, her doctor changed the prescription to a different pill.

I know another woman who got pregnant twice on the pill. At that time, the interaction with antibiotics was not known, she had been taking them both times.

No, you do not get it.

While I value the life of the unborn , I value religious liberty more.
I value our First Admendment more.

Access to birth control and legal elective abortion ( within the parameters of Roe vs Wade ) are a part of our religious liberty in the US.

When it comes to matters of reproduce health,

Politicians and the religious dogma of another faith should never interfere with religious liberty of an individual.

From the RCRC ( Religious Coalition of Reproductive Choice )

Good policy is policy that allows for all people – regardless of their religious identity – to follow their own faith and conscience when directing the course of their life. When it comes to matters of reproductive health, RCRC believes that real religious liberty protects the right of a woman to make thoughtful decisions in private consultation with her doctor, her family, and her own faith. Politicians and the religious dogma of another faith should never interfere with religious liberty of an individual.

Please let me make something very clear to you.

Sane women ( who were not held captive ) do not chose elective abortions at 20 weeks gestion.

Those abortions are for health reasons, either the woman's health or fetal health.

Many severe fetal birth defects do not show until doctor performs an ultra sound at the 18 to 20 gestational week ultrasound that is to detect fetal birth defects. That only gives the parents and the doctors a couple of weeks for more tests and to make a decision whether or not to abort since the cutoff for elective abortions is 24 gestional weeks.
