New book: Biden aides discussed using a wheelchair in second term

Promises made, Promises kept.

Yes, but the way it was kept counts too.

Not a good look.

He should have sat back on the legacy of his first term, and to honest I think history will describe it as a good one. He kept much of his campaign promises. He actually brought new factory jobs to the U.S. (Trump didn’t). He started to actually fix and improve infrastructure (Trump didn’t). He actually started to fix pharma pricing issues (Trump didn’t).

Overall a successful Presidency, especially with a split Congress actively working against him.

He tarnished his own legacy by not just going with what he stated in 2016. One and done.

I knew he wouldn’t though. Like I said, folks just don’t work that way.

“And it’s all Biden,” Plouffe adds. “He totally ****ed us.”

I don’t know what one’s ability to walk has to do with their ability to be an effective executive or leader 🤷‍♀️

Can someone explain the correlation to me?

We have a current POTUS that walks just fine, but strikes me as struggling more cognitively than our prior POTUS 🤷‍♀️
Do you believe he was capable of being an “effective leader” if he had won? Any concerns regarding his cognitive issues?

ndicative of how serious the extent of the feebleness Biden was experiencing due to his advanced age comes the news aids felt a wheelchair was a necessary option.
How the **** is this indicative of any cognitive impairment which is what is clearly being suggested?

Feelbleness?

I hope these are not your words, they are beyond ignorant.

FDR was paralyzed from polio and was incapable of walking unaided.

Maybe Biden could have recovered and performed well in the second debate like Ronald Regan did in 1984, but that's unlikely. Biden didn't even know what he was signing during his presidency. He was given documents and promised pudding.

Especially early on FDR was very careful not to be seen or photographed in a Wheel Chair. The press went along with it to a great extent.

He went to great lengths to hide his leg braces under his pants as well.

Don't care. An infirm, frail, mentally impaired Biden suffering from severe dementia is 1000x better than Trump.

And who then is minding the shop?
Its not the elected president.

You guys are all in for democracy-- as long as 'your guy' wins.

Electing Trump helped democracy; a Biden victory would have harmed it.

The real story here is the 'cover-up.'
They all knew Biden was simply not physically healthy for another four years in office.
Yet they all lied to the American people about it.

Right and it's same media that the lefties tell us are the only legitimate sources. It's comical.

The lefties are avoiding this thread like the plague.

None of Biden's infirmities and inabilities come close to being as debilitating as Trump's incompetence caused by his ineptitude caused by his not being able to tell the truth, his avarice, Narcissistic Personality Disorder and his walking talking proof of the Dunning Kruger effect.

It's Trumps "incompetence" then for which we are dealing.
He has been democratically elected.

Meanwhile Bidens 'incompetence' was some others, unelected persons, 'incompetence.'

Those who support democracy ought prefer the former to the latter.

But-- as this thread shows-- progressive support for 'democracy' is situational.

I think it was more about appearance than anything else. Republicans were already honing in on Biden's frail appearance, a wheelchair would have made the issue even bigger than it was.
Trump's in la la land half the time but he's got the sturdy, chubby appearance of your average conservative male.

In modern times people want to see a physical manifestation of a disability so that they might, just maybe, kind of, sort of understand what having the disability would be like. (They can't understand. It doesn't work that way)

Consequently disabled people are more likely to be handicapped by the attitudes of the public much more than they are by the disabilities themselves.
