Nearly 800 illegal aliens arrested in massive Florida ICE operation: 'Tidal Wave' (1 Viewer)

N
you do realize that illegals can contribute to the economy, ,right? just being here illegally doesn't hurt the country if they are holding jobs and working.
and yes they are "criminals" by being here illegally, just like i am sure you are a criminal for having broken the speed limit for example.

your comment is unreal.
Not only that, but illegal immigration to the US is considered a misdemeanour, not a felony, thus a relatively minor offence. Yet these people are being treated as hardened criminals, because Trump says they are. No due process or protection under your Constitution as it states they are allowed, whether they entered illegally or legally. They are deemed "persons" according to your Constitution and are offered as much Constitutional protection as any US citizen.

You don't know or have the slightest idea.
I don't, but I do know one thing for certain. Anyone, illegal or otherwise, is protected under your Constitution and allowed due process. Your 'president', for want of a more accurate description, clearly doesn't care.

These 800 already had deportation orders. What other hearing do you want? This is not a random roundup.

According to documents obtained by the Miami Herald, Operation Tidal Wave is focused on detaining approximately 800 undocumented immigrants with final deportation orders across Florida. The operation spans multiple regions, including Miami-Dade and Broward counties, as well as cities like Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Stuart, Tallahassee, and Fort Myers.

That doesn't mention anything but "deportation orders". Did they have their day in court (due process)? I very much doubt it. Maybe you can clear this up.

unreal comments on this thread. "how do we know they are criminal"
Good reason for that.

.."is society better off without them" .
If they're criminals, society is better off, of course. And if it were anyone but this administration, I'd have no worries, but I'm going to need more than their word. They lie. And they're incompetent.

Read the article. Known criminals and illegal entries.

well, be careful, since they are "criminals" by dint of being here illegally, but I still am not sure that means society is better off without them, just because they are here illegally.

people use the word "criminal" in multiple ways in this discussion..."just being here makes you a criminal" vs "while here they committed additional criminal acts".

after all, i suspect everyone here is a "criminal" because i'm sure we've all broken the speed limit while driving, jaywalked, etc, at some point in our lives

Some immigrants are good for our country. Lawful people can support themselves and their families. And some are not. We get to choose who to allow.

Does the same apply for citizens?

Illegal entry is a misdemeanour. And you don't know that 796 are "known criminals" any more than I do. But if Trump says so it must be true; he would never lie, right?

Yeah, we have to become a police state because of misdemeanors.

Garcia is a dirtbag. Illegal MS13 terrorist.

Then why would Trump's DHS let him out of jail and give him a work permit?

prove they are democratic voters. but you wont, as always.
its amusing to read some of the partisan stupidity here.
Proof shows itself at the ballot box.

They start to believe their own lies eventually.
If it didn't work then the Democrats wouldn't have used it as a political strategy.

They are known and had deportation orders. Here illegally is subject to deportation.

The UK is doing the exact same thing currently.

You say because the previous UK admin screwed it up.
Same thing MAGA says in US.

The mothers had the choice to take their children or leave them in the states. The 2 year old wasn't deported but left with her mother.

Wait, shouldn't the headline be "Florida Families Broken Apart"? Or the go to ""Florida Dads Arrested"?

Who says they are "known"? Your lying administration, that's who-and anyone trusting a single word from them needs to give their head a wobble. The UK is using due process with illegal migrants. They will have their day in court, unlike the poor bastards Trump is victimising-including toddlers.
