Outgoing Governor Cooper vetoed the Republican-led watered down disaster relief bill that cut hundreds of millions of dollars of aid to stricken communities critically hurt by Hurrican Helene. Homes, businesses and over one hundred residents were all washed down the rivers in western North Carolina in September. It is shameful that Republicans succeeded in over-riding the veto last week.
 
DOGE finally put an end to the concept of a mega bill. I'm all for the concept and spirit of compromise but there comes a point where it becomes counterproductive. Especially so when goverment (both R & D) lacks fiscal responsibility and restraint.

How the hell do these people still get any votes?
They vote against disaster relief and defund child cancer research and yet they still get votes?

Do they have to be on live TV punching kittens and puppies to lose votes?
