NBC's false definition of CRT

Most glaring is that NBC falsely characterizes CRT in the OP, and no one really cares.
A) Because they didn't?
B) Because we have all seen you routinely falsely characterize CRT so you claiming someone else has done so holds no real weight

This is the second time the "truth" guy was mentioned. Perhaps I'm him? It's easy enough to tell - see if my subject matter and diction match his (or hers).

After all your hard work, did you ever find it taught anywhere?

Literally, last June the nation's largest teachers union -- the NEA -- voted on a resolution to advocate CRT be taught in K-12 public schools, but somehow attempts to teach CRT in schools is only a right-wing talking point.

It just doesn't get more pig-ignorant than that,.
This is a lie. I have proven this a lie. Remember when I pointed out how you kept omitting words in the sentences you were using?

The fact you are again repeating a lie shows how little you're interested in honest discussion on this topic.

SA is considering taking the farms from whites to right the wrongs of the past. Redistribution has a steep price, which is why it's not as easy as the flip of a switch. Kendi's comments on capitalism are numerous, and his book is all over K-12.
"Big Bird...Kendi...Big Bird...Kendi..."

^^^ main cause of insomnia among American kindergarteners.

If you wrong me, I take you to court and the court redistributes your property to me. Has nothing to do with economic theory.

You're just wrong, all over the place.

The fact you don't realize the irony in your statement here is hilarious to me.

Also, are you ever going to reply to me in the other threads where you ran away rather than answering simple challenges? Or is it too hard to spread propaganda that way?
^^^ Chest-thumping nonsense.

In order to follow your reasoning on this one I think I’d need to settle on peyote.
Lol. Peyote gets me sick. THCa powder is much better. Or 34% bud. Or some 92% diamonds. Motivator prerolls are the bomb.

*eyeroll*

Wake up Nat. Get out of your stupor.

You have proven nothing but your unwillingness to engage in an honest discussion.

For anyone with an open mind:

Literally, last June the nation's largest teachers union -- the NEA -- voted on a resolution to advocate CRT be taught in K-12 public schools, but somehow attempts to teach CRT in schools is only a right-wing talking point.

Did they call it CRT?

Or just history that y'all now call CRT?

Because I don't see how kindergardeners could ever understand how race still affects law and institutions. Graduate level stuff.

Sounds to me like the term is being misused, possibly by both sides, but definitely on the right.

Because it has the words "critical" and "race" in the name. Which made it really easy to misrepresent to the ignorant.

Those white acquired their farms and land by stealing them at gunpoint and then given that stolen property to other people. Why should they be allowed to keep stolen property?

If I take your house from you at gunpoint, are my kids allowed to keep it if I give it to them?

You have proven nothing but your unwillingness to engage in an honest discussion.
Oh, look...once more you are running from the discussion, rather than answering why you keep omitting words from slides and sentences which prove you wrong. How not surprising.

Why did you leave off part of the sentence in the NEA release? Why did you not include the entire slide? Why do you keep omitting the context which proves you wrong, yet keep posting the lies?
^^^ Chest-thumping nonsense.
So you're not going to answer them? What a shock.

Typical nonsense. Someone makes a bunch of claims which aren't true, cherry-pick information out of context to support the false position, and then refuse to acknowledge their falsehoods and cherry-picking when confronted with truth and context. Happens over and over again.

Oh, for those who want a FULL understanding of the lie NatMorton has posted, here it is:
How come you didn't provide the entire statement?

"Share and publicize, through existing channels, information already available on critical race theory (CRT) -- what it is and what it is not; have a team of staffers for members who want to learn more and fight back against anti-CRT rhetoric; and share information with other NEA members as well as their community members."

Oh, that's why. Because it exposed your position as the fraud it always was. It's not advocating for CRT to promote honest discussion about what CRT even is.

It never ceases to amaze me how people will deliberately omit the part of the statement which proves them wrong and think it will actually work.

I don't blame you for running away. If the lies I were peddling (whether I believe them or not) were getting so soundly exposed and defeated, I'd probably want to hide also.

It’s NBC, they have a history of selective editing if not outright lying. They aired an altered 911 call from the Zimmerman case. Or Brian Willams and his vivid recollection of being in a helicopter that was shot down, even as he was miles away at the time. Is it any surprise they take the same approach here?

The voted-on resolution says what it says.

Your comments here really have no value other than as prop.

Yeah, but they really didn't, so...???

Yes, literally, from the resolution (emphasis added):

C. Publicly (through existing media) convey its support for the accurate and honest teaching of social studies topics, including truthful and age-appropriate accountings of unpleasant aspects of American history, such as slavery, and the oppression and discrimination of Indigenous, Black, Brown, and other peoples of color, as well as the continued impact this history has on our current society. The Association will further convey that in teaching these topics, it is reasonable and appropriate for curriculum to be informed by academic frameworks for understanding and interpreting the impact of the past on current society, including critical race theory.

That is a lie.
No, it's not a lie. And I've proven it. You are trying to say that the NEA supporting an honest discussion of history, which includes how race played a factor, is them advocating or promoting CRT. That is NOT what that document you keep linking to says.

The NEA advocates for an honest retelling of history. That's what their document says. It advocates for a discussion about what CRT TRULY is, not what liars claim it is. It does NOT advocate or promote CRT, only that CRT not be stricken as a potential tool to teach history.

Sure, next you’ll probably try and sell a bridge really cheap
Okay, then explain how you think their definition of CRT was "false". Here's the definition again: "The theory is a way of analyzing American history through the lens of racism but is not itself a fixture of K-12 instruction."

What part of that is false?

For those following this thread, the above is, simply put, a lie.

Again, for those that actually want to know the facts, please look at post #70. That is the exact text the NEA voted on and approved. It doesn't merely say "the NEA [is] supporting an honest discussion of history" as the misinformation above would have you believe. It says "The Association will further convey that in teaching these topics ... including critical race theory."

It just doesn't get clearer than this.
