NBC cancels original ‘Law & Order’
Show to end its run with upcoming 20th season finale

NBC will not renew the original "Law & Order" at the upcoming conclusion of its 20th season, leaving it tied with "Gunsmoke" as the longest-running scripted show in television history.

(Msnbc.com is a joint venture between Microsoft and NBC Universal.)

The cancellation was confirmed Thursday to TheWrap by a person close to the show's production.

It seems improbable to me they'd cancel L&O. It is still as good as ever.
 
Isn't NBC's overall ratings down? I think that may be the problem, they wanna shove out old programming even though it's good and replace it with some hip new stuff. Personally I only care for law and Order SVU, that's a really really good show.
 
All good things come to an end... and L&O ran it's course.
 
It's still an incredible show. Damned shame they're cancelling it.

Once the parody of L&O becomes the norm, it's time to go. We'll always have reruns.

As of yet, I was informed that they had not entirely made a decision.
 
It's a pity but the fact is I haven't watched that show in years. I'm guessing I'm not the only one not watching it.
 
Good, Dick wolf made the show an idiotic left wing piece of fantasy bullpoop....


I hope the whole series fails. It once was so good. now its horrible.

I know what you mean. But I try to ignore the left wing lunacy as much as is necessary to stay engaged with the plot lines.
 
I love Law & Order!!!!
 
It used to be a good show. Then they made 14 different clones of the show and I lost interest. Law & Order: Meter Maid Division was the final straw for me. :lol:
