Will the Toronto Raptors show me they can play like a championship caliber team or will they fold against LeBron like they have always done?

So far, my money is on fold. How they lost a game that they led in by an average of 10 points for most of the night, is a complete mystery to me. Rosen, Lawry and Val-whatever that big beasts name is completely disappeared in the waning minutes of that game.

Meanwhile, Cav players not named LeBron really stepped up. Thompson, Smith, Korver, Green were all in double figs. Love only had seven. But, from what I saw, almost every one of his 13 boards was huge.

Tonight the Cavs tied the game for the first time at 105-105 to force OT. They took their first lead of the night in overtime. They never relinquished it.

Has anyone seen that done before?

Toronto should win on paper however I wouldn't bet money on Drake the Canadian and his Raptors.

This team plays horrible basketball in the 4th quarter. They play one brand of basketball in the 1-3 quarters and than play too much hero ball the last quarter. That only works if you have an elite super star. Sorry

Holy Crap! What happened to Cleveland?

They are absolutely destroying Toronto tonight. Damn! If I didn't know better, I'd say this is not the same team that took 7 games to eliminate Indiana and loses games by 30 points on occasion. They actually look like the Beasts of the East for a change. :)

Toronto = mentally weak. Must be that canadian "too nice" mentality. We need killers in the playoffs.

Could be. But then again, when LeBron is dropping a dozen rainbow fade-way jumpers from 20 feet, no one stands a chance.

Wow! Celtics came back from almost 20 down to take the lead, all in the last 5 minutes. What a team!

Ok, maybe it was closer to 15 minutes. I see the 3rd Q is almost over.

Ben Simmons performance was disgraceful. Lonzo Ball would have never choked like that in the playoff.

1 freakin point in the entire game.

Just the whole regular season then? Since he had 11 games with 5 or less points, and exactly half of them with less than 10. He had a pretty poor game in UCLA's tournament game against Kentucky too. 10 points on 4/10 shooting, 1/6 from 3, 4 TOs.

Which isn't to say Lonzo sucks or that he'll never be good, because that's not true. But I'd take Simmons 100 times out of 100.

No doubt. Everyone's allowed a bad game though. I mean he is still averaging 18-10-8-2 in the playoffs.

And I was more questioning your Lonzo Ball would never choke like that. He's shown that he can plenty of times in the regular season and in high stakes games in college.

Lonzo freaking Ball? Come on dude. His jump shot sucks as bad as Ben's.

No where near as bad. Ben Simmons has been in the league for 2 years and hasnt made 1 3-pointer. Not one.

Lonzo isnt a scorer. Hes a facilitator.

Simmons had 7 assists last night.

Book it anagram. Lonzo ball will probably average 15 ppg, 9 assists, high 7 rebounds.

Simmons jump shot is broken and i will bet all my shares in apple that lonzo will win more championships than him.

You realize that all of those are either about the same or lower than Simmons did this year? Lonzo’s jump shot with his unorthodox delivery is at least as broken. 36% from the field, 30% from 3.

Lonzo might win more championships, but that’s only because the Lakers have cap space to sign two max players this year. And players always want to sign with the Lakers.

It will not be because Lonzo Ball is a better point guard.

He didn't play last year due to injury.

Lonzo Ball is a true Rookie and a full year young than Simmons.

My only concern with Lonzo is his low ft% which is due to him using a traditional shooting form rather from his unorthodox shooting delivery.

The unorthodox shooting delivery works. He shot over 40% from 3's in college. He needs to stick with that motion during ft's as well.

Ben Simmons cost his team AGAIN! Too many missed critical shots and missing a dunk in the end of the 4th quarter.

I don't remember a star pg being this limited and mentally weak. Even Rondo will shoot 100 3's in a season and he's a liability.

Simmons doesn't have the "it" factor.

In his defense, his coach is making awful decisions. Wow. The 76'ers really need to consider firing Brown. Maybe bring in former player Jerry Stackhouse?

I’m fine with Simmons game tonight as a 21 year old. 18 points on efficient shooting. Good contributions in other areas. Good defense.

This missed dunk isn’t great but I’d never say one play defines a person. Lonzo certainly isn’t defined by his boneheaded turnover near the end of Final UCLA game that sealed the win for Kentucky.

Fact is is rather have a point guard who is a good defender as opposed to a very negative one like Lonzo. And I’d rather have a PG who knows he can’t shoot from outside but still scores often and efficiently like Simmons than one who takes several 3s a game and only knocks down 30% of them.
