There have been many moments for this VP to shine. She hasn't.
The incumbant running for Biden's 2cnd term is running from THEIR record.
There is a potential longshoreman strike Oct. 1. She could shine there too.
Kamala will be oblivious, totally unburdened by what has been or is in these examples

Cheney had a president that the media could blame to deflect away from the real incompetence in Lousianna.
Just watched DeSantis brief Florida. Sounds like the bases are covered. Exudes competence. Meanwhile Kamala is looking at a holistic approach to her newest word salad.

Let me help you here since you don't seem to have a clue about your own political system.

FEMA needs to be activated to stage and respond. That authority rests with the President. A disaster declaration needs to happen to free up federal resources and funds. That authority also rests with the President.

You obviously don't know that so as expected you don't know both those things have already happened.

How can you even be posting on a political discussion forum?

Except that we do not have a president or an effective Homeland Security Secretary.

Kamala is running on her experience. She can step up to the plate to address any issue any time. Her day one was 1300 days ago or so.

The Biden admin. has already alerted FEMA but based on Harris's 2022 ignorant comments about giving FEMA aid based on equity first, I hope she stays clear of the certain devastation to come.
