More than that: the Pope says they can receive communion.
But he does not say that a bishop must dispense that communion if in the bishop's judgment it's not appropriate. Pelosi can find another bishop from whom Pelosi will eat of the savior's body and drink of his fluids.

Hmm, so here we have a religious leader basically threatening an elected government official if she fails to comport herself in a manner acceptable to him. She has no business representing the constituents who elected her if their views are in contrast to that of the Catholic Church, according to him.

If she were to capitulate to the demands of the archbishop, she should resign as a member of the House immediately.

They are both private people/entities. They can do what they want. Pelosi has no right to force them to give her a sacrament.

Correct.. And not all members of the club have the same opinion as the archbishop...

As Pelosi Denied Communion by Bishop, What Pope Said on Refusing Eucharist

However, Pope Francis, who is head of the Catholic Church, has previously urged bishops to tread softly on the issue of denying people the Eucharist—which Catholics consider the body of Jesus Christ—and advised the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops against adopting a policy that would have denied communion to President Joe Biden.

On September 15, 2021, Francis was asked about the issue of bishops denying pro-abortion politicians the right to participate in Communion and said he had never refused the Eucharist to anyone.

"What should a shepherd do? Be a shepherd and not going around condemning or not condemning," the pope said.

"They must be a shepherd with God's style. And God's style is closeness, compassion and tenderness.

"If we look at the history of the church, we will see that every time the bishops have not managed a problem as pastors, they have taken a political stance on a political problem."

While Pope Francis reiterated the Catholic Church's position that "abortion is homicide" he went on to say: "No, I have never denied the Eucharist to anyone, to anyone.

"I don't know if someone came to me under these conditions, but I have never refused them the Eucharist, since the time I was a priest."

Catholic’s hold mass in prison, do they do the body of Christ wafers thing, I wonder?
Or do they vet the prisoners, thief’s & rapists line up for communion, mirderers sit this part out.

Many things which won't get a Catholic excommunicated are nevertheless not "ok" with the Catholic church.

And?

Do you believe any politician that supports a position opposed by the Catholic Church should be denied communion?

Of all the people who have inhabited this earth there was only One who was sinless and could cast the first stone. And He didn’t cast that stone. And all the wanna be stoners… dropped their stones and left the scene.
Everybody must get stoned.

BREAKING: In a HUGE win for decency, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is given communion by Georgetown’s Holy Trinity Church in defiance of several “pro-life” churches that launched a political attack against her by denying her communion. RT TO THANK THE HOLY TRINITY CHURCH!

Good thing!

Good thing!
It's "decent" for an organization that pretends to knowledge it doesn't have and which lies to children as well as adults, for a living, to give Nancy Pelosi a magic cracker and a sip of crappy, but magical, wine, which is imagined to be the body and blood of tortured and executed supposed deity (who was sent by himself to be executed) and who supposedly endured said torture and execution as a scapegoat for Nancy Pelosi's sins?

What in the world is "decent" about that?

Reminds me of the Ents in "Lord of the Rings" :)
The Lord of the Rings is plainly a racist book, which portrays things dark and black as evil, and white/fair people as good and superior. How dare you bring it up here!

Nope. I have no belief of any kind in regards to that. I literally could not care less. I have no idea of the minutia of what under Catholic law, or lore, would get someone denied communion, nor do I care. It's a pointless exercise of superstition, and the fact that she even wants communion is plainly a political act on her part.

Further, being denied communion is not "being excommunicated." Those are entirely different things.

One is not denied communion for merely "being" a sinner. The Bishop explained his reasoning, and it applies only to his diocese. She can go to another diocese.

Correct.. And not all members of the club have the same opinion as the archbishop...

The communion was not given "in defiance" of anything. The other bishop's order denying communion was only ever applicable in that one diocese.

This is just a political stunt.

Excommunication is literally being denied communion:

Are you saying withholding communion is a threat?

I agree. I doubt anything will happen to the bishop and that's fine. If she wants communion she'll get communion. The whole thing's blown way out of proportion.

Clearly went over your meme stick
man’s head…

Not true. She's forbidden in the diocese of the Archbishop that wrote the letter. The priests in his diocese have taken an oath of obedience. Should they choose to disobey they can be removed/replaced.
They also aren't supposed to cover up child sexual abuse... we all know how that turned out.
