NAACP Releases Statement On 2014 Elections, But No Mention Of Mia Love Or Tim Scott's Historic Wins - Matt Vespa
Instead they focused on the bogus issue of voter ID preventing people of color to vote.
Dip****z.
This is also true of the Catholic Church, the Mormon Church and Focus on the Family with regard to Republicans and conservatives.
The intent of the NAACP is to lobby for black causes and Democrats are more receptive than Republicans. You may not like it...but Blacks are allowed to organize in this country
The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
That only counts if one is a democrat.
How often have we heard that Obama is merely a product of AA. But we sure don't hear that about republican blacks.
It's the "systemic privilege exists" argument.
Well, I'm just trying to see whether the statistics and rule of thumb used by Turtle actually apply to black Republicans. I'm sure they will, until they get elected. I think what is interesting is that Nikki Haley (a minority, even though she's shed her ethnic names) appointed another minority (Tim Scott) for office, and that minority seems to favor companies making stronger efforts to hire minorities. But I am sure none of that is Affirmative Action now.
Privilege would mean that only colored people would need IDs, while whites just stroll up and vote no questions asked.

Umm... no.
:lamo
That's probably one of the things you like most about him.
Do you not understand what systemic privilege means, or do you deny the existence of it.
Once again you need to define it.
While I find it amazing that someone would not know, I can understand how being so ignorant could result in a horrible misunderstanding wherein AA is racist because, as far as the person knows, there is no such thing as systemic privilege.
Here's an article to introduce you to the concept. I'm sure you'll like the source.
What Is a ‘system of privilege’?
A system of white privilege, for example, is white-dominated, which means the default is for white people to occupy positions of power. White-dominance doesn’t mean that all white people are powerful, only that the powerful tend almost always to be white, and when a person of color occupies a position of power, that will be noted as an exception to the rule (as when Barack Obama is routinely identified as a black President and not just ‘the President’).
uhm, obama identified himself as black, hell he ran on it, calling out typical white people as racists. lmao
You know if there is any person who can't afford an ID, have them step up. I have no doubt they would be taken care of somehow.
Here is the NAACP' s mission statement.
Our Mission
The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
Are Scott and Love against that??(rhetorical)
Here are the NAACP's objective:
Objectives
The following statement of objectives is found on the first page of the NAACP Constitution - the principal objectives of the Association shall be:
To ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of all citizens
To achieve equality of rights and eliminate race prejudice among the citizens of the United States
To remove all barriers of racial discrimination through democratic processes
To seek enactment and enforcement of federal, state, and local laws securing civil rights
To inform the public of the adverse effects of racial discrimination and to seek its elimination
To educate persons as to their constitutional rights and to take all lawful action to secure the exercise thereof, and to take any other lawful action in furtherance of these objectives, consistent with the NAACP's Articles of Incorporation and this Constitution.
Oh, wait, I guess Scott and Love are FOR barriers of racial discrimination and AGAINST equality of rights.
LOL:
Utah is the south? I think one of us needs a new map.wouldn't surprise me at all. They got theirs and to hell with all the rest of the blacks. They were, after all, elected by conservative whites from the south who don't give a damn about minorities.
What does that have to do with the paragraph you quoted? Did you miss some of the sentences?
 yeah. that's why they support school choice, eh? Blacks overwhelmingly want it and so obviously the NAACP is all about it, right?
lol I don't think you could've found a more biased, partisan source than the anti-science Heartland Institute, if you tried. Those are the folks that testified before congress that smoking doesn't cause cancer and now they want you to believe a poll conducted by morons in Oklahoma that want to teach creationism in public school and abolish Common Core. Yay, let the dumbing down of America begin.
That was the first link....I haven't looked at the second....I don't think my heart can't take it.
I read it, the last sentence shows how seriously the blog should be taken.
Look, it's just an overview of the concept for one that has no clue. What, you wanna sign up for 3 credit hours?
How do you expect to debate social dynamics without a clue regarding systemic privilege.
Utah is the south? I think one of us needs a new map.

You have no idea how diversity is valuable to a university and its students, do you.
