It seems such a bizarre thing but I guess its a sign of how out political life is dragged into the gutter by the US.
But I cant really see it as a bad thing.
I do understand that musks brand of tin foil nuttiness may cause riots among the underclass.
But decent people arent going to switch their vote from Green to the tommy party because of musk.
The people they will attract will be reform voters and they were out in the rain yesterday. Their votes mean nothing.
Reform is killing the tories and musk is killing reform.
I dont see the problem.
Musk has a faint grasp on reallity. He doesnt realise that Robinson is unelectable. He doesnt understand the british class system which means Robinson is unelectable.
So I dont see the harm in musky blowing a few million trying to get a felon elevted. This isnt the US so it wont work here.

Musk has billions he can and will throw into trying to get governments elected. I know it didn't work in Germany where he tried getting the AfD elected into power but there could easily be enough momentum to do improve Reform's position here in the UK.

I don't think Robinson's white nationalism is anything to do with class systems, I think it's more that Robinson is more open about his position than Farage.

I think the middle classes will wrinkle their noses at voting for a criminal. You can see it in the home counties where they are voting lib rather than regorm.
Robinson is the worst in our society and folk in redrow homes wont fabcy it.

Personally, I think people voting Lib or green are centrist Conservatives who now have no political home after Boris purged the moderates out of the party. They would never vote Reform or Britain First.

Tommy Robinson is a desoicable person, so bad that he is toxic even for Reform. If Musk pressures Reform to accept Robinson, Farage bails again and forms yet another new party, and will take most of the Reform votes with him. Though considering Reform is a private company owned completely be Farage he can't easily be pressured to do anything. The Great Leader of Reform cannot be challenged.

I watched the clip of robinson listenig to musks message. It wasnt the swaggering nazi but more like the respectful schoolboy outside the headmasters office.
Its obvious that he sees musks money as the key to his"party". I think farage has written it off.
Maybe musk could buy shares from farage. He would get control but farage would get money. And thats what its about.
I see robinson as a positive. He will sink the extreme right. People aint voting for a drug dealing football hooligan.

No, it will be a split. A huge number of current Reform supporters are Britain First / National Front etc types hanging on the coat-tails and will stick with Reform if Farage quits over Robinson. The other half will follow Farage.
I wonder though if Farage would stay if Musk's money and the prospect of more seats in Parliament were reachable. I don't know how a leadership of Robinson/Farage would work with many voters but I think it would persuade Labour and the Lib Dems to stand aside for each other and not take votes off each other at an election.

If you have the time, this breakdown is quite good - including discussing Musk censoring his own AI (Grok) for spouting facts contradictory to Musk's agenda and political aims.
