Musk burned himself

He doesnt. Thats why im curious. I rarely think about him, but your first thought was of him in a totally unrelated topic.
Me neither.
The "living in your head" is an old and worthless comment when posters have no real answer to questions asked.

You didnt ask a question, you just made a snarky comment about Trump. Make a worthless comment, get a worthless reply. Its my fault though. I should know better than to respond to such comments.

If you think I didn't think that through you're wrong. It's just that simple.

Yea, that's my point.

You thought it would be a super good idea to get a highly visible tattoo that immediately ostricizes you from the majority of society and almost any good career path.

My point, which you highlighted for me, is that even when people think things through they come to the most idiotic of conclusions.

A. I'm not "ostracized" from any part of society. Fully 4/5 of the people I meet have no idea what it even means. A couple of religious whack-a-doodles have said it was satanic and some kids have mistaken it for an "avengers" logo, but by and large here in the deep red of Kansas folks are oblivious unless they are part of the same movement I am.

B. I haven't worked for anyone but me on something like 35 years and I bet my tax bracket is higher than yours considering the specialized nature of the services I provide.

So that for your imaginary "point".

"What did the shareholders lie about?"

That is a question.

as far as my comment about the "Art of the Deal" remark. It a sarcastic remark. Yes, it was a jab at Trump who Musk supports.
We know that not all deals Trump has made have worked out.

Do you live in a compound or something where everyone is "part of the same movement"? That's some David Koresh crap right there. The fact that you don't realize you are ostracized talks about how disconnected you must be. If you don't think that tattoo gets you judged and labeled instantly in ways that have serious repurcussions you are crazy.

Well, since that is literally impossible, I will take that bet.

Wow, you can just barely read. Work on the comprehension and get back to me when you wanna discus what I actually said vs what you think I said.

How 'bout that bet now? How much you want to wager?

If twitter provided the information that they were contractually obligated to provide and that information was accurate, then they have fulfilled their obligation.

Have you seen any accusations that they have not done this?
Uhhh....you haven't been paying attention to the news? They said 95% of their users were real people.

He did no due diligence and regrets impulsively making a ridiculous offer to twitter.

For a supposed genius he's really not all that smart.

The funny thing is being "on hold" is not a thing and the deal is going through regardless. He knows he overpaid that is all this is.

Was that part of the negotiations between Misk and Twitter? What’s on the news is irrelevant.

I am quite certain it’s not part of those negotiations or else the conversation would be very different and Musk would have an out that doesn’t render a penalty.

What MAJOR purchase have you made that you took the seller’s assessment of what ever you were buying was worth?
So you're excusing fraud now too. Got it.

Due diligence has nothing to do with defending fraud and everything to do with making sure you verify things for yourself because even if the other guy committed fraud going down a path and then unwinding it wastes lots of time and money in the best case.

You are seriously wrong here.
You're most definitely defending fraud. It may come as a shock to you, but if you're making a contract or deal, and there are certain details in that deal that were lied about by the other party, they are the ones on the hook not the other way around.

The deal between Musk and Twitter contains no mention whatsoever of the number of spam/bot accounts.

A. Fraud needs to be proved. That has yet to happen so you are wrong.

B. By your theory I’m defending burglary if I point out that leaving the front door open wasn’t the smatest thing to do.

Your argument is frankly laugable.
I have a hard type buying that you actually believe it.

Specifically, for "fraud" to be proven and Musk to get out of the contract, he'd have to prove:

1. Twitter knowingly made an false assertion of fact;

2. With the intent to specifically mislead him;

3. That false assertion of fact induced Musk to enter the contract; and

4. Musk justifiably relied on Twitter's false assertion of fact.

Proving any of those elements would be nearly impossible.

Don't tell me, tell Musk.

He is basically a child with a fortune larger than GDP of a lot of countries. He got tired of his new toy that he technically even buy yet.

You could firm that up: A FORTUNE LARGER THAN THE GDP OF MOST COUNTRIES.

Greece has a nominal GDP of 222 billion, and is ranked 54th amongst 216 by the IMF.

He got tired of his new toy that he technically even buy yet.

I hope he does buy it, and I hope he throws his weight around and totally wrecks it. His evident success in cars and rockets has not been matched in tunnel boring or hyperloops, where negotiating with regulators was beyond his patience. All the controversy about Twitter (and FB) over moderating, comes down to staying clear of the regulator who would wreck their business model by requiring employment of tens of thousands of human moderators.

In short, I hope Musk does wreck Twitter and waste his money. A plague on both their houses!
