No, sorry. Most soldiers hardly ever use full auto. These weapons are made to be very deadly in semi auto.

Every semi auto weapon is deadly? It makes no difference if it's a remington hunting rifle in .223 or an AR15 in 5.56. I am a 12 year veteran, I know what I am talking about. You obviously don't.

I mean seriously you still have not touted the amazing law that would stop the killings unless of course you want to ban all semi automatic weapons. That has literally nothing to do with what I just said, however crimeresearch.org have compiled a few instances where handgun permit holders have successfully prevented public shootings. A quick google search will also point to a few news stories where this happens.

However, many factors come into play : the law abiding citizen has to have huge balls, be a good shot, not be mistaken for the shooter by the police etc.

Is it difficult ? Yes
Is it impossible ? No

EDIT : Misread, my bad. I was simply making the claim that intelligently crafted laws do have an impact on the crime rate. Otherwise, laws in general would be utterly pointless. Let's think about the waiting period law for example. If some guy gets fired from his job & wants to shoot up his office, maybe having to sit on that idea for a few days while waiting for his gun will cool his temper, no ?

If there wasn't any speed limit laws, wouldn't everyone be driving at 120 mph on the highway ?

I am not against things like background checks etc. However when laws start to hinder law abiding citizens, that's where I draw the line. Most gun laws that have been introduced, and failed for the most part just make it more expensive to own a weapon. So it negativly affects minorities and the poor in general for the most part.
