Most significant military bases are in red states.

Almost all of 'em in fact.

This is deliberate.

And this is the quiet part of what the American Armband Right has been up to for a long time. Which is, close or reduce bases in the North and expand bases in the South.



FORSCOM is US Army Forces Command in the United States. FORSCOM is the largest Army Command. It deploys the
combat arms and support units of the Army. In fact, before Gen. Milley became Army chief of staff in 2015 he was
4-star commanding general of FORSCOM. Milley is currently chairman of the joint chiefs of course.

Milley in fact was also CG of the 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum in NY, III Corps at Ft. Hood and CG of Ft. Hood in TX.

Nine of 'em are red states. This is not by accident.

First of all, we're in this thread with this OP, and that matters to the overall discussion. How does anyone "unify" with the large political movement represented by MTG? Can one be more divisive than - the country should divide red and blue?

It's not about opinion. Was the 2020 election stolen or not? If you're taking a position it's just opinion to believe 'yes' or 'no' then that's a bit of a problem, because all the evidence indicates Trump lost - all the evidence, 100% of it. In this objective reality, Trump lost the election. People like MTG aren't swayed by evidence, and it's not our obligation as reasonable people to consider those that say otherwise as having merely a difference of "opinion."

It's also pretty objectively disqualifying as a member of Congress to openly advocate the split of the U.S. into partisan camps - blue and red. There is no "both sides" to that "opinion." There's no reasonable world in which she has a legitimate point.

What's the compromise with "secession?" Seems to me it's HELL NO. How do you compromise with someone who says, as a member of Congress - if we don't get OUR way, we will leave and form our own government?

I gave this post a "like" because if you are limiting the discussion to this divisive and troubling woman, I agree with quite a bit of what you said. I wasn't speaking strictly to her or the issue of secession or other lunatic ideas.

But just how large is the "large political movement" MTG represents? I'm struggling to remember what the "M" stands for in her name. When I read her name, I just scroll on by.

I will not lie, there is a part of me that wants to see the Deep South 'divorce' from the rest of the country. Would be a hard lesson for them.
