A female lawmaker was rushed to hospital today after a parliamentary session descended into a fracas involving hundreds of screaming, wrestling MPs.

Lawmakers from the ruling Grand National Party occupied the speaker's podium in a bid to quickly pass contentious media reform bills aimed at easing restrictions on ownership of TV networks.

Opposition parties responded by stacking up furniture to block ruling party members from entering the main hall of the National Assembly.
The parliament plunged into chaos, as lawmakers scuffled and shouted abuse at each other. Women lawmakers from the rival parties joined in the melee, grabbing each other by the neck and trying to bring opponents to the floor.

So who dominates in a congressional fight here? I think Obama'd do well for himself if it came down to hand-to-hand combat, but what I'd want to see is a governor's convention brawl. Schwarzenegger body-slamming Sanford, anyone?

Obama? I'll bet he hits the way he pitches-- like a little girl.

Now Michelle, in a fight I'd feel luck if she just hit me. She strikes me more as the break-a-bottle-for-a-weapon type.

Agreed, i'd love to see other assembles.
Funny but not as entertaining as it used to be. We should give them alcohol before sessions. That would make things more entertaining.
