Keep in mind, overrated doesn't mean bad.

What are your most overrated films?

For me:

The Big Lebowski: I didn't watch it when it first came out but was constantly told to. I didn't find it all that funny.

Moonlight: An Oscar winner that bored me to death.

The Lord of the Rings: Feels like a kids' film for adults.

I'm a big Tarantino fan but I thought "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" was terrible.

I’ve put it on but I fell asleep (was just tired at the time) big fan of Tarantino too except maybe the kill bill films though I didn’t dislike them.

The Blair Witch Project. However, it was ok. I took my mom to see it and I think that we got popcorn, so that saved it.

The Godfather

Crash

Rocky

The Shape of Water

All Marvel movies outside of Guardians of the Galaxy

Yes forgot about that one, was literally like watching a found video from some idiots then they screamed in the woods

I totally get why some people wouldn’t like the godfather but I love it still. Rocky I do just love though

Yep, that's pretty much the boiled down version of it.

I was not impressed by the Big Lebowski until I learned of the Raymond Chandler/Philip Marlow connection and then it all made sense.

Academy Award winners I think that are overrated (should not have won this award)
  • Titanic was way overproduced, with a bit of a ridiculous story line
  • Out of Africa in the same bucket.
  • Silence of the Lambs - OK movie, but the best of the year???? really.

Has anyone seen "The cheap detective". Completely horrendous and I really like Peter Faulk.

It was when it first came out. There had never been anything like it. I was only 14 and it scared the shit out of me. I'd only seen Disney movies in the theatre to that point.

I saw it when it first came out, and was expecting to be scared, but nope. I wasn't 14, but I don't think it would have scared me even then.

No Country For Old Men

Tommy Lee Jones should have passed on that one.
There was enough parody blended with terror to make it watchable, Captain Call was a tall bar.
