Most Danger to Our Way of Life, Al Qaeda or Bush?
So now we've seen the Downing Street Memo, a NeoCon preemptive war of choice in Iraq, NeoCon total incompetance in Iraq, preparation for constant war against terrorism, massive corruption of corporations looting our treasury in war profits and energy gouging, outing of CIA agents as pay back, FEMA's non response to Katrina, debates about torturing people, rendition to secret black prisons, rolling back of the Bill of Rights by the Patriot Act, redistribution of wealth through tax breaks to the wealthy and corporations, the cowing of the major corporate press into milk toast criticism, our president being given the authority to interpret the Geneva Accords rather than the judiciary, etc., etc.! So, when are we going to get concerned that we are slowly becoming a fascist country while we wave the flag like carefully frightened sheep. I suppose those who first speak out about their country moving towards fascism are always considered alarmist even if the signs are there. Later historians wonder how a country allowed its freedoms to be taken away. The answer is they weren't taken away! They were frightened into giving away their freedoms one after another!
