New evidence keeps coming out, making Trump's guilt even more obvious. The handwritten note on hotel stationary is hilarious, almost too good to be true. And now these bizarre allegations that Trump stooges Hyde and Giuliani were conducting surveillance of Ambassador Yovanovitch.

I'll say it again -- Trump is not going to survive this impeachment trial. Pelosi was very wise to delay the impeachment articles a few weeks. This just makes it even more obvious that a lot of relevant evidence still has not seen the light of day, due to Trump's obstruction. Republican Senators ignore this fact at their own risk.

As the Washington Post pointed out today:

The risk for Republicans is clear: If they fail to turn over every rock, find every document and subpoena every witness and decide to acquit, even more evidence incriminating Trump and making clear they effectively aided in a coverup is bound to come out.

“Even though the House has produced a compelling record, it’s clear there are mountains of evidence still to be uncovered in this case,” says former Justice Department spokesman Matt Miller. “That evidence is all going to come out over the next few months, and any senator who votes to acquit Trump is going to own each new revelation.” The key question for Republican senators is whether they want to risk their political careers helping an unfit Trump escape responsibility for the worst conduct by any president in history.

Amazingly, we already have an affirmative answer to this question. They appear to think it will help not hurt their political careers.

Impeach him a second time after this.

No way voters will ever get tired of it.

Perhaps...I'm still not convinced that most Republican Senators really want to go down in the history books as protecting Trump.

I think it's starting to become more apparent to these Republican Senators, as this evidence keeps leaking out, that it will indeed hurt their political careers if they keep protecting this corrupt traitor. These Senators are not Repug House members in gerrymandered ruby red districts. They can lose re-elections, even in red states.

Either way they're stuck between a rock and a hard place. If they come out against Trump he'll do his best to ensure the end of their careers. I guess it all boils down to morals and principles, and who has the balls; it isn't like they'll be suffering a lifetime of grinding poverty if their political careers get flushed down the crapper-they're mostly millionaires.

I think for at least 20 Republican Senators it will be the end of their political careers if they DO acquit Trump.

Winning statewide elections, even in red states, is not as easy as it is for Repug House member Jim Bob Asshole trying to win re-election in Hickville, MS.

NEWS FLASH, Nothing new. Trump told Zelenski to check out Burisma. Why? Because he can.

Show me any place where Trump denied asking Zelenski to investigate Burisma.

Now you have evidence confirming what Trump has always claimed and you act like you found a smoking gun?

Priceless

Protect Trump from what? The messages clearly show Giuliani referencing 2016, not 2020. They also show a link to something specific that Yovanovich said about Trump. I don’t know what that something is but it was obviously perceived as being defamatory.

Mueller had just wrapped up his investigation and Trump wanted to get his name cleared. That’s what this was about and it’s totally legitimate.

Was their a point to your Trump cultist diatribe? All I want is a Senate trial with all of the evidence and all of the relevant witnesses. And then let the chips fall where they may.

You Trumpsters are the cowards trying to prevent this.

ANNNNND The goalposts are now in another country.

Trump is guilty AF and you worship at the foot of his defecated idol.

Sad.

That's what you're being TOLD it was about.

I have no idea how you can endlessly ignore the mob boss activity of this president, and how his indications prove he is a guilty ****ing clown. I just can't get how you lot are this obsessed with ****ting on our constitution.

He'll be impeached at least 3 times.

He's a New York City crook. He doesn't play by the same rules as people from the Midwest.

Never was a goal post. Trump stated this in his call scrip. But you think you found a new win huh.

Sorry to deflate your balloon.

Didn't McConnell agree to use the 1997 Senate hearing rules that the Democrats voted for and implemented in the impeachment of Clinton?

We are using your own rules and you are complaining about the fairness of the Senate trial?

Interesting.

Interesting.

Not interesting.

One major difference -- Clinton did not obstruct witnesses and evidence like Trump has done. Hence, why Obstruction of Congress is one of the impeachment charges against Trump.

But of course you will ignore this obvious difference.

And that has what to do with the rules of evidence Democrats voted for in the Clinton trial?

By the way, when the DOJ and OLC have stated for over 30 years that a President and his staff have immunity from Congressional hearings, I wouldn't get my hopes up on obstructing.

It's not only what I've been told but it's also what the evidence shows. As far as being fed a line of crap it's Schiff that put the 2020 idea in the media and he did so via an outright, verifiable lie.

It has everything to do with it. Trump is trying to prevent evidence from seeing the light of day. Clinton did not do this.

Hence, a wise and decent Senate majority leader would acknowledge what Trump is doing and adjust the impeachment trial rules accordingly to prevent Trump's obstruction.

Unfortunately, Moscow Mitch is neither wise nor decent.

Since you are so informed about the 1997 rules of the Senate, tell us exactly what part of those Senate rules would prevent evidence from seeing the light of day or allow Trump to obstruct the Senate.

Pursuing debunked Russian conspiracy theories is insane and a danger to our national security. Doing it to service his own personal interest is corrupt as hell.

The evidence doesn't show that. You just CLAIM it does because your media pundits are TELLING you what it says.

It's writ large that the primary vector for politics among trump supporters is parroting the BS they hear on faux nooz and daily wire and OAN.

Read the messages on page 38 of the document release here - READ: Documents from Giuliani associate Lev Parnas released by House impeachment investigators - CNNPolitics

There is a message from Guiliani to Parnas(?) regarding a contact Guiliani was supposed to be having with Zelensky. It's SPECIFICALLY about 2016 and tangentially related to Yovanovich.

Abraham Lincoln is this nation's worst ever, president.

You mean acting like a ****ing mob boss, stalking Yovanovitch, which may be why she was warned to leave the country?

You mean the fact Trump could have simply fired her, instead, he had this **** done?

No. It's never been about "russia". It's been and always will be about RED MEAT for people like you, to convince you even further people like ME are the enemy of the state you need to fight.

FFS Dude.
