Moral Israelis opposing wrongs by Israel and Hamas

There are some very, very important words in the headline of that article:

Not in our name’: Jewish peace activists across the US call for immediate ceasefire and justice for Palestinians

Moral Jewish Congressional staff member speaks anonymously against Israel's actions in Gaza.

American Jews have a long history of outstanding moral support for good causes. They were leaders in the Civil Rights movement, I think in opposing the Vietnam war. The largest mobilization of American Jews in history is happening now, against the massacre in Gaza. It's very cmomendable, and shames the other Americans not at their sides.

JVP, along with Jewish-led groups—mainly IfNotNow—and allies have held demonstrations large and small across the United States since October 7, when Israeli forces launched their latest war on Gaza following the Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel that killed 1,400 people.

Who started the war?

Biased enough to be fake news.

This is a video with an important message. This Israeli scholar describes that all Israelies are extremely indoctrinated their whole lives, something Americans have a hard time appreciating is the case. He says he was able to change - and lost his job as a professor as a result. There's a lot more. Including the national condition of 'having no compassion for Palestinians'.

I'm calling misquote. Smfh.

Regarding your other blog post, got anything earlier than 2002? Such desperation. Got anything from the Philistine era?

Israeli historian:

The vast majority of Israelis appear to be laying the blame for such a colossal Israeli intel and security failure right at the feet of Bibi and his Likud Party, at least according to JPost and Haaretz.
Here was JPost the first day:

And that's what this was, a colossal failure of Israeli intelligence and security, and it would behoove everyone to track down whose fingerprints are all over this because I guarantee you any rational security expert, war gamer, intel geek, spook or whatever are all very VERY interested in who got what in terms of material gain...there HAD to be something like that happening in the runup to the Hamas breach.

I've been talking about how Israel-wth indoctrinates it's whole country from birth. This Rabbi, who was a Zionist for decades, came to recognize the problems, and that he had to change, and explains his experience about the issues very well. He's just the sort of moral Israeli the thread is about.

Don't hold back.

Some young Americans on TikTok say they sympathize with Osama bin Laden

Dozens of young Americans have posted videos on TikTok this week expressing sympathy with Osama bin Laden, the notorious terrorist who orchestrated the September 11 attacks, for a two-decade-old letter he wrote critiquing the United States, including its government and support of Israel.

That's what the thread is about from where I sit.

There's a shock. Apparently zero people watched the great comments by the Rabbi, or learn a thing about them.

Yeah, they got years of concentrating on growing the West Bank settlements convincing themselves that they could turn their backs on Hamas and not even defend its own fence line. That is what they got.

Anybody trying to concoct a larger plot than that, gets to join the Qanon CT crowd.
