Monsanto Protection Act
Seen a lot about this on the blogosphere but haven't paid much attention until I saw this
Worth looking into @ MyWebSearch

So Monsanto is spraying the US public with Agent Orange? You must have watched the previous video!
I eat lots of veggies too. How can we be sure what we eat is safe and not involved with Monsanto? If it's certified organic?
This is bull****. Eating vegetables is supposed to be healthy, its not a health concern.
You asked about who Monsanto had killed. I answered
You don't like being pwned, so now you're trying to change to topic and making stuff up

Monstanto didn't kill anyone. Did you read the link?
It was the us Government who was spraying agent orange, not Monsanto.
Read your own link!
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports about 70,000 cases of this type of E. coli infection occur in the United States each year.
i believe it is more than just a coincidence that we have seen a rise in diseases, conditions, allergies, ect and it continues to climb as we alter our food.
What you are seeing is a lowering of diseases and increasing life spans, a lot of which are due to science and food technology. Certainly there might be an increase in some diseases, such as schizophrenia for example, but that is the result of people living longer, not the result of poisoned seeds.
Also, reading through here you seem to be really down on organic food.
I wouldn't eat it unless I grow it myself, and i do grow many fruits because at the moment im living in a tropical climate. I know that the surrounding area is clean.
Not one thing you have stated is actually an attack on organic food. Even if the headline says so. There is absolutely nothing, NOTHING unsafe about organic food.
there is a problem with E.coli, and that has been well documented.
The problem with organic foods are, and yes i understand the contradictory nature of this statement, they are being altered. Some altered seeds are fine, some pesticides are fine, nothing regulates what they are grown in ect. Furthermore, most of the problem you see with organic food or the fake organic food is the handling process, or the sanitary conditions of the places it is being grown or cut. Not the food itself. Pointing out 40 cases of e coli linked to organic food is virtually nothing.
Yes, those are the problems with organic foods and people died as a result of those problems. There have been far more than 40 cases, by the way.
70,000 cases in the US. Even though the 40 you found were in Europe, not in the US, that accounts for far less than 1% of total cases in the US, let alone in the world. E coli does not appear naturally in vegetables.
These problems have been discovered in several areas of the world. But, as mentioned, eat all the organic food you want. Just think twice before feeding it to your children. Some of it will never be clean no matter how often you wash it.

That is almost entirely untrue. But specifically look at this statement you made.

While it is true that many people are living longer it is not due to those modified and processed foods. It is largely due to science and the ability to identify and treat diseases that used to be deadly. If you were to combine proper nutrition and much less of the modified and processed foods that people are eating and combine that with the advancements we have made in fighting disease we could not only live longer, but have much better quality of lives. Instead we are allowing corporations free passes to manipulate us for profit lowering our quality of life and our life spans.
That is almost entirely untrue. But specifically look at this statement you made.

The biggest factor in increasing life spans is sanitation, particularly clean water.
And the biggest cause of E Coli in our food?.......unsanitory conditions.
Genetically Modified seeds can be organic since organic refers to how they were grown. Grow your own or role the dice. Processed foods are full of GM material too. It is not nearly as evil a thing as people want you to believe. Hybrid seeds are why 2% feed the 98%.
This is incredibly disturbing.
Look at that, democrats and republicans can work together for the benefit of huge corporations with complete disregard for public safety.

Actually, to be truly certified organic, it goes back several generations not only on the plant the seeds were harvested from, if it was close pollination or open, the soil they were grown in and how they were treated for pests and diseases.
You are talking here of conditions completely unrelated to Monsanto and organic foods. That children and their parents are not getting enough exercise is a given, and naturally respiratory and heart problems will result.
yes, science has certainly advanced in fighting diseases but food science has advanced also, with fewer people starving, increased crop sizes and necessary vitamins and minerals built right into the plant.
Just google a food crop, such as advances in rice technology, and look at the advances made in disease resistance, healthier crops, crops for smaller farms, etc. Rice is one of the most common crops in the world and science has helped to advance its production dramatically, thereby securing healthier and more predictable outcomes.
Yes, inactivity and poor parenting certainly play a role. I agree with you completely. However, just because there is a second problem does not mean we should ignore the first. Making food cheaper and more profitable is not the right way to go. It should be nutritious. It should be healthy. Not healthier fast food. But actually healthy. Our bodies do not simply need to eat and then hope science can keep us alive and feeling miserable. Our goal should be to live a long, healthy life and feel good about it. It does come back to Monsanto, and even though they are probably the largest of the bunch it is not just them. If you think that the food industry is not deceptive and manipulative then you must be simply choosing to ignore them.

They have found seeds in ancient caves that might be 'organic; but even then no one can be sure. Changing the characteristics of plants, and animals, has been going on since man first walked the earth.
I agree that the food industry can be deceptive and manipulative, just like the auto industry, tourism industry, or any other. We should not believe advertising as much as we do.
But the responsibility also lies with the consumer. Anyone who doesn't know that cigarettes are bad for their health by now is hopelessly stupid. The same is true of crack cocaine users or fast food junkies. If they don't that these habits are unhealthy then there is little we can do except allow Darwin's theory to take its course.

By nature by cross pollination, then by man with hybridizing. All 'external' methods.
GMO, or altering the DNA of a plant is relatively recent.
Does that mean that the highly addictive nicotine insecticide manufactured by hundreds of plant varieties other than tobacco via genetic modification, is now okay to ingest?
Relatively recent as in the past few thousand years?
depends on who is doing the certification. There is no universal clear commercial standard.
