But the Establishment Republicans won't.

You are a big boy. What solution do you offer? Elect more establishment Republicans who are nearly as socialist as the Democrats? Hire more McConnels and Boehners who will destroy this country just as the Democrats will but at a slightly slower pace?

No thank you. It is time for a war for the heart and soul of the Republican Party. McConnell has to go down hard. Or the nation will.

The concept you are grasping for, with difficulty, is constitutionally limited government. When we return to it again, if we do, we shall be free again. If not some future generation will rebel and decide the issue with arms.

The Libertarian Party already exists and has been very influential on a variety of issues. Gay marriage, legalized marijuana and blocking minimum wage increases (the Libertarian Party advocates no minimum wage but now people understand the negatives associated with increasing the minimum wage arbitrarily) are all ideas from the Libertarian Party. The Libertarian Party is making lots of progress in the United States with their goals. The Libertarian Party has functioned exactly the way a third party was intended to function. I think history will judge the Libertarian Party as the 2nd most effective 3rd Party in American politics.

No it won't. It just means another vote to confirm another Kagan or Quotamayor. People with your attitude is why we have Kagan and Qutoamayor rather than Miguel Estrada and Peter Keisler who would have been the next two GOP picks

This one is in the grip of a fascist dictatorship. I do not believe we will survive this trip into fascism. We did survive Wilson and FDR. Both did serious damage to the Constitution.

I would agree that Wilson violated the Constitution many times - IMO he's probably the worst president we've ever had. Ever.

But if you'll think about it - and this will probably make your head explode - the American people (by which I mean ALL the American people, and not just white protestants) are freer now, right NOW, than ever before. We as a people have more rights right NOW than ever before.

Uh-uh - c'mon, guy, answer the question - what are the freest nations in the world? Even if you don't think they're AS free as you think they should be, what are the freest nations?

Really? Where is your evidence? If we stopped supporting SQRLs who then lost their election how long do you think it would be before the rest of the SQRLs began to pay attention.

You are speaking of tactics. I refer to strategy.

It is unlawful to kill them. So we have to defeat them in the polls.

I say that American citizens (ALL American citizens, not just white protestants) are freer right now than ever before. Yes, I DID say that.

But I asked the question first - y'all think we're not free, then define what freedom is and then tell me what nations were closest to that ideal.

Up until now I have not taken you to be foolhardy.

There are no free nations. In all of history we have only had a few centuries of individual freedom. Under today's fascist dictatorship with massive regulations, bullying all around, and a king with a pen and a phone this nation is no longer free.

I know of only one nation that was created with individual freedoms in mind. Woodrow Wilson began to destroy it. The Roosevelts did their part. Today we live in a post Constitutional era where we are no longer free in any meaningful ways.

What benefit is it to have sell-outs like McConnell in the Senate? You have failed to make your case because it is so weak. We have a failure of imagination. Our representatives should represent us. If they are not inclined to do so they should fear us. Right now they just laugh and compromise with our socialist enemies. Your way has failed. It is time for Reagan's Way. It is time to defeat and replace them.
