You don’t see a connection between Trump’s administration and Fox News whose pundits Trump keeps hiring? Or the Heritage Foundation who authored the Project 2025 plan Trump is following? Or the Federalist Society and all their judges Trump nominated? Are you joking?I really can't with this kind of hyperbole. An entire ecosystem?
Yeah take that bipartisan horse shit somewhere else.

Save your ridiculous frantic rants for others.
You have no more/better understanding than I do and, in fact, have been proven wrong by myself before, more than once.
Dugan’s arrest and indictment are not a harbinger of a future Gilead.
Arrest before indictment is common.Your opinion is that a sitting judge should be arrested on a mere accusation, without even an indictment.
That isn’t what happened to convicted felon and now American dictator Trump.
Rather than arresting a violent criminal in a controlled environment, he escaped the courthouse and led federal agents on a foot chase on a public street. How did she endanger anyone?
Obstruction is the charge....isn't it?Yeah, that’s not what she’s being charged with though, is it?
Many direct connections among the above and parallel, but unconnected fascist agendas, all working to drag America backwards. You don’t see a connection between Trump’s administration and Fox News whose pundits Trump keeps hiring? And he outran the ICE agents? He disappeared? He's still at large?Rather than arresting a violent criminal in a controlled environment, he escaped the courthouse and led federal agents on a foot chase on a public street.
@RaleBulgarian is right, you know...
In this case, it's the Judge's victims. All US citizens and undocumented immigrants are negatively impacted by her actions. Her behavior undermines the law and reduces trust in our judicial system. This is a case where I am in full support of it following its legal conclusion, and if she is found guilty, she should be punished fully. Judges should be held to higher standards since they are supposed to uphold and enforce the law.Who, exactly, were his victims?
And he outran the ICE agents? He disappeared? He's still at large?
How is the potential prisoner's ability to outrun the ICE agents the judge's responsibility?
For someone who was nailed to the cross, you seem to enjoy burning them.
Skew it any way you want.By your logic, the driver of the getaway car in a bank robbery didn't commit any crimes.
Skew it any way you want.
But the judge wasn't required to do everything she could to make the apprehension as easy as possible for the several ICE agents, was she?
If she had a problem with them taking custody of the defendant, she could have sought assistance from federal judges who were already starting to rule against the use of the Alien Enemies Act. She would have been within her rights to do so.You're the one who came up with that skewed logic, not me.
The fact that you need to ask indicates that you don't understand the law.
It is indeed illegal for anyone, including Dugan, to impede or create additional barriers for any LEOs in their pursuit or apprehension of a suspect. This is pretty basic stuff.
Thanks for asking and seeking clarification, though!
"All US citizens and undocumented immigrants are negatively impacted" by the lawless actions displayed by the Enforcer-of-Laws, the POTUS, and his subordinates/agents.In this case, it's the Judge's victims. Recommend that you read the charging document linked in my post #160.Obstruction is the charge....isn't it?
She proceeded with her regularly-scheduled trial. She took some but not all of the ICE agents to meet with her supervisor.
How did the remaining ICE agents occupy themselves? Did they keep eyes on their potential prisoner?
Was she required to hand over the potential prisoner herself?
In April 1933, the parliaments of the German states (Lander) were replaced by Nazi governors who could appoint and dismiss officials and judges
Members of the Gestapo had powers to arrest and detain those people who were considered enemies of the state/Nazi Party. These preventative arrests were carried out separately from judicial control.
On August 20, 1942, Adolf Hitler appointed Otto Thierack, a vehement Nazi, as Reich Minister of Justice, heralding the end of an independent judiciary in Germany. Given free reign by Hitler, Thierack demanded ever more extreme legal measures against Jews and others, increasing the pressure on German judges to render their verdicts according to Nazi principles and ideology. At Theirack's urging and with the compliance of many individuals throughout the legal profession, the Nazi court system became more and more a state vehicle for injustice and persecution from 1942 until the end of the war in 1945.
It's not that black and white. She is an officer of a state court. Judges have a responsibility, and significant power, to protect the integrity of their courts. ICE posting up outside of a courtroom is a new tactic, in violation of all precedent. It's a deliberate attack on the ability of those courts to function. The person they arrested showed up to a scheduled court hearing. Obviously, if ICE keeps doing this, people will stop showing up. The integrity of the state courts will be harmed. There is a reason ICE will NEVER try to do this in a federal court.Dugan is an officer of the court, responsible for judging others innocence/guilt.
She doesn’t deserve respect or a free-pass for violating the law.
So far as I know, you have no JD.You're the one who came up with that skewed logic, not me.

I would say justice just hopefully the same as all the rest of the people who break the law. What would you suggest? A firing squad maybe?
If you've followed my posts over the past weeks, you know I agree with you about the President and his administration. I still believe it is important for leaders in our judicial system to stay within the framework of the law. I would argue it is even more imperative that they do so, especially given that President Trump is not. The last thing we need is more reason for him and his supporters to believe judges are corrupt and they do not need to follow the law as a result."All US citizens and undocumented immigrants are negatively impacted" by the lawless actions displayed by the Enforcer-of-Laws, the POTUS, and his subordinates/agents.
But trump and his minions - that includes MAGA - aren't concerned at all about following the law, about abiding by a Federal judge's order, about obeying instructions from SCOTUS. The PRESIDENT is also "held to a higher standard", perhaps the highest of all, because HE is tasked with.....enforcing the law.
But he's not. And he hasn't been. And we can say with near-certainty he will not.
And Congress, which should be taking whatever steps it can to try to ensure the POTUS enforces the law and ****ing follows it himself, refuses to do so.
So, forgive me, that I'm not going to be outraged and upset that a FEMALE judge didn't make it easy for several loitering ICE agents to get their man so that the lawless administration could rendition him to god-knows-where.
Pay attention. Trump is what we call an existential threat to our nation. To our Republic. To our democracy. We have never before faced anything like him. OR anything like the threat posed by his political party. And by tens of millions of Americans who have given themselves over to the lawless cult of trump and the GOP.
Recommend you read the attached link to the federal charging document (including sworn affidavit) in my post #160), then tell me if you still think Judge Dugan was in the right. It's not that black and white. She is an officer of a state court. Judges have a responsibility, and significant power, to protect the integrity of their courts. ICE posting up outside of a courtroom is a new tactic, in violation of all precedent. It's a deliberate attack on the ability of those courts to function. There is a reason ICE will NEVER try to do this in a federal court.
Now, I would agree that the judge responded badly. She should not have interfered, and instead objected to this conduct through official channels. But I think there is a decent chance she gets off due to the special consideration judges get for conducting and protecting their courts.
