Mexico to sue U.S.-based gunmakers over flow of arms across border

It's about suing gunmakers, which are basically the same as knifemakers. The entire premise is ridiculous.

Is there a crisis of illegal knives flowing over the US/Mexican border?

Your comment is completely unrelated to my post.
Wasn't pharma hiding the addictive properties of their product? Weren't they sued for that, rather than just producing a painkiller? Under your logic, Jack Daniels and every other producer of alcoholic products could be sued for producing a product that could be misused.

You guys are now terrified of going into restrooms unless the state performs a crotch check.

Which guys? Oh, I get it, this is you making stupid bigoted assumptions about people who disagree with you, like you always do. Carry on.

Purdue was sued for a myriad of issues including misleading marketing.

Irrelevant since gunmakers have no control over it.

Thank you for admitting that your deflection to knives is irrelevant.

Every gun I've purchased notes that guns are dangerous on the very first page of the owner's manual.

why don't you tell us what legal grounds a corrupt government that has failed to control violent crime in its own country has for suing US gun makers?

I'd say there is potential to dig up some distribution and black market dirt. YMMV.
Right, gun manufacturers have to risk exposure and criminal charges to get guns into Mexico because the market in the US just isn't big enough.

that isn't grounds for a lawsuit. I realize leftists will support anything and everything that can be used to try to attack legal gun ownership in this country

Why don't you rationally discuss the issue instead of posting logical fallacies.

Why wouldn't evidence of a distribution or black market conspiracy be grounds for a lawsuit? Links, please.

I want you to establish what legal grounds justifies a clearly specious lawsuit. Now if the gun makers willingly supplied the black market (which is easily determined since the makers have to keep a record of where each gun they makes goes) that might be grounds though I still don't think Mexico has a valid claim. But I doubt this happens.

I just posted potential grounds. And you agreed. Thanks. Have a great day.

Was I wrong tho?

nope there is no proof of that happening. Gun makers can only sell to licensed entities

What if the licensed entities had illicit black market ties and the gun makers knew about it?

It's ALL speculation at this point but until the entire suit is made public, my guess is as good as yours.

"Potential"?
He clearly misses that point. There is no evidence that gun makers are diverting firearms to non licensed buyers. The guns going to mexico are not due to makers

its nothing more than an impotent government's failure to control crime, trying to pretend it is doing something. Mexico should be sued for all the drugs coming from it into the USA and all the crimes committed by its citizens in the USA

USA is the #1 manufacturer and exporter of gunz.

It's highly likely that the gunz manufactured in Mexico are due to American corporations.

USA#1 in violence.

How do you know? The 2nd carries no weight in International or trade laws.
Number one, Im not sure how much weight law suits carry internationally, or if they carry any weight at all.
Number two, its not the fault of the gun manufacturers that guns are being illegally smuggled across the border, its the fault of the people who are smuggling them illegally, and the fault of the Mexican border patrol for not doing a thorough enough job.
