I noticed that one of the top two music genres are metal and rap, being a metal head I would have to support it lol.

I like all kinds of music, as long as it has soul, and the person behind the music is talented, I'm not going to disrespect it. Though I don't listen to much rap, really the only rapper I listen too is MC Frontalot, and listen to a lot of metal/rock.

Generally speaking, I HATE gangsta rap, although there are a FEW rap songs that I like and others that I might be able to tolerate. I would have to go with metal given a choice between the two. :rock

I'm an old school metal/thrash fan... before it was "cool".

Not that much a fan of metal. It can work at times.

Funny thing about rap. I liked it when I was like 13 or such because I've seen that video of Eminem where he was pretending to be Micheal jackson and he fooled around. I got interested in it, looked it up, listened to some more songs from various rap bands and realized what a piece of **** 99% of the whole thing was, dropped it and never felt better for making a good decision.

Some metal and some OLD school rap.

Rap isn't music. Logical fallacy.

Try looking at the Music as the Modern Day Urban Bard!

Course going Mental wouldn't have anything do with Logic.....huh?

I don't really have a favorite Music form.....but I would say both metal and rap comes before Country Music with me.

Yet.....like Dre says. Ring Ding Dong- Keep their Heads Ringing!

Though I would say that Rap is looking to go back to more of the Hip Hop Style rather than coming out with the Gangsta Rap.

Will Smith has influenced quite a few out there. Plus he knows how to......Get Jiggy with It!

Metal.

. Not . Even . Close .

Rap is pretty gay nowadays... and gangsta rap is total ****.

NWA? Public Enemy? Beastie Boys? Good stuff...

Rap is much better.

Everything interesting that was ever going to be done in the world of metal has been done. It's a washed-out genre. Rap is newer and fresher and younger.

The first Rap Songs that came out were like 12 -20 mins long and were modeled after the Beatniks with their poetry and stumming a few chords.

One of the very first artists was a Chick named Lady B. She came out with a hit in 1979 titled.....To The Beat Ya'll!

They can do more with Rap and other music anyways. Due to most artists rhyming in one way or another with all other forms of Music.

Like Living Color that Can play Heavy Metal and Rap.....while still rhyming and singing.

Living Color.....Type!

Course I would say Heavy Metal has started to move towards some aggressive music as well. As they have plenty of Diss songs like Rap now. Still I like Heavy Metal too. Like the Group Accept!

Teutonic Terror!

Moreover Rap has 3 times the amount of content than Metal does. Especially once they go freestyle. But now Rap and Hip Hop is up with R&B and House Music/Club music. Theres no way they can compete. Except to their genre.

Smack That.....Akon and EmineM
