LOL-- the note to which i responded explained Manafort's motivation as chairman of the Trump campaign as one of personal financial benefit.
Nothing to do with acting as an agent of Russia.
The Senate report concludes they don't know what his motivation was, but it seems pretty clear that was it.

Paul Manafort, as trump’s campaign manager offers Russian intelligence internal polling data from the trump campaign. In the full knowledge that that data will be used to refine the Russian social media agitprop campaign in support of the Trump campaign.

Trump knew it. Stone knew it. Gates knew it.

I remember when I heard on the radio that trump had named Manafort as campaign manager. I was floored! It wasn’t like people in Washington didn’t know that Manafort had been working for the Russians for a very long time.

Nor was it unknown that Trump’s real estate holding were dependent on Russian financing.

The investigations into the trump campaign should have started the very next day, not months later.

Teh night trump won, I remember hoping that the US didn’t have to face a major crisis during his reign.

I knew he wouldn’t have any idea what to do (other than posture for the TV cameras), and look for ways to avoid responsibility.

Which is exactly what happened with Covid. He sweetened the deal by promoting quack cures.

That is a lie. Trump suggested some alternative remedies and never said to drink bleach. In any event, what does that have to do with anything? Did anyone you know drink bleach? Did anything he said about Covid start a war, raise gas prices and inflation?

Its fascinating to watch Senator Kennedy accuse the DoJ of all sorts of things they did not do. He then says he believes Garland, but is mystified why his constituents don't. Well, Senator. its because you carry their lies and don't tell them you believe Garland. Be a leader senator, inform your constituents of the facts, don't magnify their lies.

Garland points out that they've ridden around on this merry-go-round several times before.

Imagine an American President telling Russia that they'd be more flexible with them while ignoring Russian takeovers of parts of Ukraine while also refusing to send anti tank weapons that literally have been the backbone of early Ukrainian defense...
 
You would have to be delusional to believe that Garland would take any pleasure in investigating, indicting or trying a former US president even if he is from the other party. Its all just too tragic.
