If I remember correctly, there is a common rat poison that is a widely prescribed blood thinner (or similar). I have a friend who takes his rat poison every morning when we are away fishing together. Has to be careful with knives etc not to cut himself due to the thin blood not coagulating properly. That's his excuse for making me fillet all the fish at least.
