Meghan McCain said she's "surprised" that the White House aide who made disparaging comments about her father has not been fired.
"The thing that surprises me most is ... I don't understand what kind of environment you're working in when that would be acceptable and you can come to work the next day and still have a job," McCain, a co-host on "The View," said today on the show.

Same old song and dance from this WH.
And as expected, no real fall out from the right-wing. In this current climate nothing is over the line for conservatives. They are so committed to protecting their power, they'll stand by this WH and Congress through anything.
Two things:
1. Democrats had the same feelings about McCain that Trump did before Trump said them.
2. Things like this are said all the time in political meetings when they think no one is listening. This, and much worse things to be honest. Not very shocking like people are making it out to be.

Did she forget the aide works for the same POS that attacked he husband?
Sounds to me like Sadler is guilty of saying what she actually was thinking in a meeting where she thought she could speak freely. Evidently not. All the opposition against Haspel was unfounded and Sadler knew it. The only people opposing her confirmation turned out to be the majority of Democrats, John McCain and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed that opposed her.

Haspel was a great choice for CIA director, even Hayden, Clapper and Brennan said so publically just last month.
Former CIA Director: Gina Haspel is the 'Absolute, Best Choice To be the Director of CIA'
Yet McCain made a public push to urge his colleagues to vote against her. Haspel has served this country for 30 years often as an undercover agent risking her life in the name of protecting this country.
She is going to be confirmed after all the attempts to sully her reputation. Sen. Rubio in the confirmation hearings gave a wonderful reply.

And yet another despicable act finds an excuse. It is the democrats' fault, and McCain's fault.
It was a horrible comment but I don’t think it is a fireabke offense. Granted, it wasn’t said about my dying father. I cut grieving families slack on their comments.
In this case nobody did anything wrong. I would be offended if Trump took any action here other than supporting the one who said it.
What I will never understand is why people that have been attacked by Trump reward him with their own protection.Seriously, this. What exactly is she surprised about? This is the Trump White House. Did she seriously think that Trump and his minions would have even a little bit of common decency and decorum after the ignorant **** that man said about her father, Carly Fiorina, Ted Cruz's wife, Miss Universe, Megyn Kelly, etc. etc. etc.?

He attacked Ted Cruz's wife and called her "dog face, ugly", said Marco Rubio was "little Marco", called Michelle Malkin a "lame brain", yet they support him publicly, or defend him in his scandals. Hell, Meghan McCain has defended the guy even after all his public attacks on her father.
I understand that politics is politics, but why on Earth would you help a man that has attacked your wife and kids, your father, your intelligence, you heritage, etc? It appears they are so committed to their ideology they are willing to throw all of their personal dignity aside in the process, if it means more power for the party.
Aren't things in the new "non-swamp" of Washington grand and classy?
