Media ignoring cynical Hamas tactics! [W:16, W:28]

Sounds like another Clinton foregin policy success...

And I remember all the clothes rending going on here about how eeevil the Israelis were for denying Gaza the ability to import cement to "rebuild".

Maybe some of those folks want to acknowledge, however belatedly, that Israel was right and they were wrong?

I don't believe it is an accident that international humanitarian law prohibits only restrictions on necessities for life. Concrete and steel are dual use and Hamas effectively steals those resources for its own purposes. Personally, I don't believe Israel should accept a return to the status quo ante. An effort to dismantle the Hamas infrastructure and safeguards to substantially eliminate Hamas' diversion of resources are reasonable starting points for a more effective approach that the past ceasefires.

Hamas is again using hospitals for military purposes. From The Jerusalem Post:

Hamas has used positions in the Al-Wafa Hospital in Gaza to fire automatic weapons and anti-tank missiles on soldiers, and the IDF fired back in recent minutes, the army said Wednesday.

"The hospital was used for activating war rooms and command and control centers by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad," the army said.
