Media downplayed Waukesha parade attack when facts didn’t align with predetermined narrative, experts say
It’s been a little over a week since a career criminal plowed his red Ford Escape SUVthrough barricades and into the crowd at the Waukesha Christmas Parade, killing six people and injuring dozens.

The attack initially seemed like it would be the next major mainstream media storyline – but then Darrell Brooks Jr. was charged with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide and the press has largely lost interest. The tragedy hasn’t resulted in round-the-clock cable news discussion about Brooks’ troubled past or possible motives, and mainstream investigative reporters don’t appear to be searching for clues.

"Left-leaning media outlets today want to frame every story through their predetermined narrative lenses. That's what is happening here with the reporting of the Waukesha Christmas parade story," DePauw University professor and media critic Jeffrey McCall told Fox News Digital.

CNN shocked on Sunday by declaring a moment of silence would mark one week since "a car" drove through the parade. Last week, The Washington Post used a similar tactic, tweeting the tragedy was "caused by a SUV".

Remember how the Charlottesville car killer was covered? Every aspect of his life was disassembled and scrutinized. Remember how the media held virtual candlelight vigils for weeks for the one single person killed? Remember how her life was memorialized like she was Mother Theresa? There were a thousand articles interviewing friends and family expressing how she was a kind, loving person who rescued kittens from sewers and saved beached whales with mouth-to-blowhole. When the media wants to, they pour on the sorrow and pretend like they're grieving themselves.

Then there's this Christmas parade massacre. 6 killed, 7 children still in the hospital, dozens seriously injured.

And the Liberal News Media? They're calling it a car crash. They say an SUV did it. The left are liars and manipulators.

Man this really been over RW media today!

The Charlottesville car killer was a political terrorist with obvious racist motives. What happened in Waukesha appears to be nothing more than a random act of violence carried out by a stupid piece of shit with no real motive or intent.
He's not part of any group or organization. He wasn't trying to send any specific message. So who cares? What's the story here? It was tragic, but there's no reason to think this is part of any larger organized problem.

This is the difference between an act of Terror, a hate crime, and just a random act of violence. How the victims were chosen and why matters in terms of whether it's a bigger story or just a random sad event.

GRRRRRRRR

at least thread number 2 on this false narrative tin foil hat made up triggered story LMAO

the funny part is the answer in the nutter "rant" is right in it "Darrell Brooks Jr. was charged with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide"
when more details come out great

so awesome!
😂🍿

So then you would agree that an SUV did not drive itself into a crowd of people?

If one thing's for sure, it's that we need comprehensive SUV control to stop the senseless violence caused by SUVs.

Good point. We should made that anyone who wants to drive an SUV has to get a license for it by passing a test.

Experts? In what? Bitching about "the media"?

So....basically Fox (incidentally "media")?

EDIT: and, hahahaha, the angle really does seem to be the usual "they're reporting it, but just not in the exact manner I say they should be reporting it! LIARS!"

Saving their Trumpists some time, I guess. Usually Fox gets 'em to run over here and claim that "the media" isn't reporting at all on something. People do a quick google and find the thing all over "the media". OP creators get embarrassed, yell a few angry things at "the left", and storm off. A few supporters remain to insist that when they said "the media" didn't report at all on the story, what they really meant is that they didn't all put the article front and center on their web pages or didn't use a key word the Trumpist wanted to hear, etc., and that this is a perfectly reasonable objection.

In this case was a vehicle used as a weapon?

There are a few good soldiers carrying out the nothing to see here marching orders in-this thread. Glad to see they got the memo and are doing as they are told. They can barely hide their frustration over this tragedy is not playing out as they hoped for.

Ya know there’s nothing wrong with pointing it out when the media shits the bed.

Is there anyone who doesn't know there was a driver?

The left are liars and manipulators.
I respectfully disagree.

The left by & large are very sympathetic people.

They are very embarrassed by the parade massacre, for they are fearful that it will put some folks in a bad light.

So they are understandably trying to downplay the massacre as much as possible.

We all know that If a person of a certain ethnicity had plowed his car into a crowd of people of a certain other ethnicity, the massacre would still be on the news 24/7.

Were it not for FOX and England's Daily Mail, I would not know anything about how the massacre investigation is proceeding.

That's just how the cookie crumbles in 2021 America.

Respectfully I would suggest that the media know exactly what they're doing. In the same way they covered for Cuomo until the evidence was just too much to explain away. They rushed to Jussie Smollett's defense until everyone learned of his stupidly outrageous claims. Another example is the early reporting on Kyle Rittenhouse and Dem Leader tweets.

Notice how when a news story fit's their agenda, they cover it endlessly with a thousand emotional angles.

As soon as the truth comes out, they revert to straight-up basic fact reporting. They are absolutely using emotional pleas to sell their lies, mischaracterizations, and narratives.

God damn you people like your bullshit.

Sorry, the only proven propaganda is fox, which you people continually try to play off as fact while projecting.

The white victimhood crowd won't like this....

They’re saying a car 🚘 drove thru the parade because they’re still upset over the Rittenhouse verdict not falling in line with their malicious, manufactured narrative.

Agreed.
'With friends like these . . . .'

Or the fact that it was in fact a car that drove through the parade.
