A fundamental problem with conservatism and libertarianism is the absurd idea that equal opportunity exists
The problem with liberals is everyone is a victim and no one has personal responsibility for anything.
Yes economics does win, and higher minimum wage wins.
I cannot believe you don't think people should be paid more than they were in 1979.
Incorrect.
I'm sorry but making 7.35/hr is technically over the minimum wage and skews that statistic.I think that production value determines wages and the only way to establish rational wages and sustainable businesses is a healthy economy and growth in the economy. Frankly, I don't care what someone else is paid. Only two percent of workers over twenty four years of age work for minimum wage so we aren't talking about a big problem here.

The number of underemployed workers, including those unemployed, involuntary part-time for economic reasons, and marginally attached, 2000
That is a bit more accurate, 30 M people under employed that is a big problem.
Which is why a higher minimum wage is a good thing.
A higher minimum wage will just be inflated away and all you'll do is reduce the spending power of everyone else.
There is no evidence to support that stance. Every time minimum wage was raised above inflation employment numbers increased and government spending on welfare decreased.
Why? because you say so? Without victims how do liberals exist?
You really don't understand business do you? Seems you believe that business is in place to provide you with whatever income you desire to meet whatever life style you want. Then you expect the Federal Govt. to set a wage for a private business owner who has all the investment, all the expenses, all the taxes, and all the regulations while getting paid last.
You obviously ignored what is happening in Seattle as the Forbes article points out. Please explain to me why a one size fits all program works in this country today and why this is a federal responsibility when the states and local communities can do what Seattle did?
You obviously ignored the misattribution of the issues in Seattle.
Without scapegoats how do conservatives exist?
Scapegoat? You really don't understand personal responsibility either, do you?
Yawn, another scapegoat:roll:

I portrayed conservatives as accurately as you portray liberals.
Conservatives haven't accepted responsibility since Feb. 2009.
This is when we leaned that "deficits really did matter", opposite of Cheney/Reagan.
When we found out we had an immigration problem--while ignoring immigrants who came in during Bush/Cheney.
When the complaining of welfare and food stamps began--once again ignoring what it was when Obama took over .
Did the liberal Republican president, Bush, accept responsibility for his screw ups? No? Well, I guess you're right then.Deficits always matter but more so when the results don't justify them. Results are something you will never understand because you have such very low standards. We are 7 years into the Obama Administration and you are still blaming Bush/Cheney. Amazing how liberals never accept responsibility for anything.

Would you have preferred Gore or Kerry?
A Tweedledumocrat as opposed to a Tweedledeeblecan?
Difficult decision, very difficult.
Chances are Kerry wouldn't have gotten us into a war in Iraq, but then, there's no way to know that for sure.
Kerry was one of the most liberal Senators in the Congress, wrong on just about every position IMO and thus no conservative from either party, and yes there are some conservatives left in the Democrat Party only you don't hear from them, that could ever vote for either Gore or Kerry. Most Conservatives are too smart to vote for a third party candidate who could never win knowing that their vote would be wasted assuring a liberal Democrat would win the election.
