WSJ News Exclusive | McDonald’s Temporarily Shuts U.S. Offices as It Starts Notifying Workers of Layoffs
The company’s corporate-employee reductions are part of a broader restructuring.www.wsj.com
Well, that's not a good sign.
I've been through my share of "restructuring"s and when they tell everyone to stay home it's never a good sign. It usually means that they don't have the security staff to deal with that many people.
Also, McDonald's having to lay off people is bad in that McDonald's was long thought to be recession proof since their business usually increases when people have less money because their food was cheap. Inflation means that people have to limit even McDonald's.

My company just went through a "restructuring" with a large layoff, and we learned bonus are canceled for the year, but as always, happy to have a job, and being billable tends to protect you from layoffs... *fingers crossed*
Long overdue.
