Will you stop posting about cpwill's post? If I wanted to discuss his post with him, I will.
You never worried about a national emergency until Trump, once again preying on his idiotic fan base, is about to declare one because he lied to his supporters about Mexico paying for the wall. You should have just said that at the beginning and saved me a lot of time.
According to the article I read, he's doing so to keep the govt open. An attempt to preserve their voter support.
Provide the evidence that he has the grounds to do any of that.
I stand with Millions in Blue State America...We will not bow or bend to trump's power grab...Not Now...Not ever
Since I based my decision on what was in his post, no I won't. Your tendency towards strawman arguments is noted however. I'm sorry that you're more persuaded by emotionalist arguments than facts though.
Have a good day Tres. I do not see this conversation going any further. At least not until you stop with the strawmen and deliberately ignoring what I have plainly said and shown evidence of.
When Bush built parts of the wall the same issues rose up. How well did that 60 ft easement work there?
What do you mean? He thinks he has the grounds to use it right now.
If he gets to use this toy once, I guarantee you he'll use it once a week from now on.
Really? The enemy?
I mean, I get it, the President talks like that, so you might feel you get to parrot his language, but it's strange that you parrot the same language that you lambast him for..
Seriously, it's this type of rhetoric that is killing Washington right now
And? What is that exactly? New Militia? A battle cry?
You are on a message board bud,
But I want to get this straight, you parrot Trump, then yell about the language that he uses, that you now use,
Does Congress play any part to blame in your reality, or is it all Presidential?
Hopefully it's for nothing.
Hopefully there are enough people like me in the nation to bring midwestern states into line with the will of the majority. I am so glad I left the GOP when I did. May I have many companions in taking the nation back from what the GOP has become.
You're comparing the posts of an anonymous person on a message board with Washington.
You may have joined here assuming that Congressional members post here too, and model their behaviors on our posts. Sad to inform you that they don't.
Try to keep up...Blue State America will stand against trump...We have our own Congress Members fighting for us.....The America you think you knew............Is Over

Can you prove he doesn't have the grounds to use it? Can you prove any of your statements?
Just calling it like I see it,
The country is just as divisive as Washington is, this is just a microcosm of that.
I just find it very interesting that, that one poster, starts parroting the language, of the person he vilifies.
Says Saladin from Blue State America who has the worst case of TDS on this thread so far with all the incoherent one liners...
Do yourself a favor, take some deep breaths, let the symptoms simmer a bit, and try again only let the brain work a bit before the mouth before you tap at the keyboard again!
Because Donald Trump is the first and only person in history to use harsh language? Yeah, it must be that.
He is free to post as he chooses as long as he doesn't break any rules. If you have an issue with the rhetoric in Washington, you should consider contacting your Congressional reps and the office of the President.
What if he decided to cancel the 2020 elections on "national emergency" grounds?
I wish I shared your optimism.
Sorry, did I indicate anywhere that he wasn't?
In Wisconsin in 2018, Democrats won every statewide election. Only GOP gerrymandering stopped them from taking back the state legislature.
And in general elections, Democrats are typically stronger than they are in midterms.
So ... there is some reason to be optimistic in the midwest. Trump is hammering his voters here with his trade war. And now that sugar high from his tax cuts has worn off and it is clear that the tax cut winners are wealthy stockholders, GOP support should get softer and softer.
There is still a solid base who will forgive Trump anything, but he needs more than them to retain the White House. And Wisconsin at least will likely be voting for change. I doubt we're that different from the rest of the midwest so there really is reason for hope.

As of right now Trump would be unable to suspend National Elections unless congress delegates that authority to him.
