America First has a different meaning nowadays.
 
Hakeem Jeffries is a good prospect. He won't be lead around by the mental midgets in the socalled Freedom caucus. Of course he is the minority leader, so it ain't gonna happen. They'll prob'ly hem & haw & end up with McCarthy again after putting more restrictions on him & making him preform unspeakable rituals in the MAGA Freedom Coven. :oops:
 
I have tried to find it in their archives at the Dallas Morning News but have been unsuccessful. It was an article that listed ten ways in which Congress could be changed to better function as a governing body.

There was one suggestion made that still sticks out in my mind. It was to make the Speaker of the House and Senate a non member of that group. Nominations for these positions could be done a couple of ways...open nomination from the floor, a nominating committee made up of citizens, etc. The nominees could be retired judges, former house parliamentarians, arbitrage attorneys, etc.

There were a lot more details to the proposal such as majority needed to select, method of recall. Sure wish I could find it. May have to start a topic on this for fun.

At this point, I’d settle for any sane adult who understands the word “bipartisan”, and appreciates it’s importance in moving the country forward.

Gaetz really has no chance to be speaker. But he just likes to create chaos and conflict and be the center of attention. Basically a troll.

That’s true of the whole so-called “freedom caucus”. They would probably be more accurately described as the “freedom of the jungle caucus.”

That is such a stupid statement. When trump put putin's assurances ahead of what his own intelligence agencies were telling him, you have the audacity to put trump up as an america first person? What other president put the leader of russia's word above his own intelligence services?

America would be fine if it weren't for folks like you and your america first nonsense.
