McCarthy calls on Mayorkas to resign or potentially face impeachment inquiry: 'Enough is enough'

McCarthy calls on Mayorkas to resign or potentially face impeachment inquiry: 'Enough is enough'

I like it. No bullshit approach with this administration. Let the chips fall where they may
The administration is Joe Biden's.

This is claptrap.

Rep McCarthy should wait to see IF he becomes SOTH before engaging in such histrionics....

I hope the 29 members of the Republican Problem Solvers Caucus takes McCarthy out for a friendly lunch and a chat .

It being serious doesn’t change the fact that the left knew they didn’t have the votes to remove him. The only people who actually thought trump was going to be removed from office was far left folks who live in a bubble and never venture out of it. Trump being a pos who never should have been within a mile of the Oval Office does not change that at all
Again, the Democrats thought some of the Republicans would agree tRump should be impeached, (some did but not enough). I believe most Americans didn't understand how badly the GOP feared their own.... :(

If you wish to think the Democrats knew they didn't have the votes and went ahead anyway, they were a lot smarter than MAGAs give them credit for. The stark abandonment of rule of law by the GOP went on to help combat the Red Wave. If I follow your idea; the Dems were very smart- exposing hyper Rabid Right monobloc mindsets....

This isn't about tRump the PoS should never won the nomination of a major party, nor even winning the general election- this is about the GOP Senate not removing a PoS when the opportunity presented itself and the evidence gave good cover... ✌️

I don’t believe they thought for a second they had the votes. Especially the 2nd time.

Well being smarter than a maga is not much of an accomplishment. And as a whole the democrats are very politically smart.

I agree it is not about trump. It’s me laughing at those attacking the right for doing the exact same things their side did just a few years ago.

yup you seem totally hinged. Glad we have a legitimate and coherent conservative party that can contribute ideas for our political issues.
yet you did not answer the question, why they have NOT visited the border? is that unhinged?

Think they have enough votes to remove him in the senate?
No, but will be far more interesting will be the investigation. So what I keep thinking about is how inflation and crime were the issues they campaigned on as being what were not making America great and their course of action thus far is investigations that will likely go nowhere.

it's his campaign promise to the idiots.

Uh, the Democrats knew they didn’t have the votes and did proceed anyway.

McConnell and Barr fixed both trials so the GOP could say nothing was proven, by insuring that no evidence was presented at either trial, even though much of it was in the public record.

Trump was clearly guilty in both cases, and later gloated about having gone away with it.

Trump nation cheered. After all, their beloved fuhrer placed himself above the law and the identified with his lawlessness.

it's his campaign promise to the idiots.

He is playing to the freedom caucus crazies.

If he becomes speaker and that‘s his strategy, don’t expect much from the GOP Congress, other than BS investigations. Just like the last Republican congress

Because Trump gave up on his fence once the rubes were convinced to vote for him? Oh, and by the way, how much has Mexico paid toward Trump's vanity project, like he promised they would? Try harder.
Now you are deflecting. The border has been a disaster under Biden. Try and stay on topic.

@Anthony60....I truly don't mean this as an insult....I really don't but everytime I see your avatar instead of seeing Batman which I'm suppose to see... I see a big mouth with lousy teeth!

That's fine. To tell the truth, I have no idea what 90% of the avatars that people have on here are. They're either too small, or something unrecognizable.

Perhaps, I believe for the 1st impeachment the Dems thought enough GOP moderates would cast a guilty vote.

Second one was far more serious, and Mitch even admitted tRump was responsible for jan6th.

If nothing else, it showed moderate America just where the GOP stands on the rule of law and abuse of power.

It bit the MAGA (and the GOP who feared MAGA) in the 4th point of contact in 2020 and 2022. We'll see what happens in 2024... ✌️

I agree completely. His incompetence and refusal to enforce federal law is documented.

------------------------------------------

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday called for Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to resign over his handling of the migrant crisis at the southern border – or potentially face an impeachment inquiry when Republicans take control of the House next year.

"His actions have produced the great wave of illegal immigration in recorded history," McCarthy said at a press conference in El Paso, Texas, during a tour of the southern border. "This is why today I am calling on the secretary to resign."

"He cannot and must not remain in that position," he said. "If Secretary Mayorkas does not resign, House Republicans will investigate every order, every action and every failure to determine whether we can begin an impeachment inquiry."

Foreigners crossing the southern border has been a problem, at least since the 1980s. Reagan couldn’t fix it, nor could Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, nor Trump. So let’s hold the current Homeland Security chief responsible for what nobody else solve and impeach him.

You think he's doing a peachy job?

Unlike the Dems, they appear to be able to chew gum and walk at the same time. E.g. how did the Dem investigation into the origins of COVID work out?

Not really, no. I haven't heard a peep about legislative solutions for inflation and crime. Maybe those are somehow intertwined with Hunter Biden's laptop?

Mayorkas is incompetent and a liar.

- He tried to push the Orwellian "Disinformation Governance Board"
- He knew there was no "whipping" by the BP agents (re: Haitians) before he went on to give cred to the "whippings" narritive pushed by Biden & the media.
- Migrants are let loose in the US despite the threat of COVID
- He's hated by rank-and-file BP agents like De Blasio was hated by the NYPD
