Maximum wage

Minimum wage => maximum rage.

We need a maximum wage tied to the minimum wage.
A minimum wage should be the least amount a prospective employer can get a prospective employee to accept.
A maximum wage should be the greatest amount a prospective employee can get a prospective employer to pay.

We already have that “minimum wage”. We have no business restricting a business from hiring the people it wants.

Maximum wage is dependent on the value of your skills. They’re commensurate
What skills does Jeff Bezos have to earn billions of dollars a year?

So Jeff Bezos is simply millions of times more skilled than the rest of his employees? You’re going to argue that?
In terms of creating a profitable enterprise, obviously true.

What skills does Jeff Bezos have to earn billions of dollars a year?
Wise investments. His salary is only $81,840 per year.

Why?

Don't people have the right to do what they want with their own money?

Sure if they deny all the government tax handouts, all government protections and use only their own money = not a dime from lending institutions and never never never expect any money from a bailout. Most wealthy do not put up their own money yet love government assistance which is large.

Minimum wage should be $64,500 for year 2021 which is not much money in 2021.

We have a Federal mandated minimum wage of $7.25 per hour, which in some, if not many, cases is a wage greater than the value of the work needed to be performed and imposes mostly upon small businesses ability to compete with large businesses.

Most states already have higher minimum wage rates. Whatever wage an employer is required to pay has to be rolled into the cost of his product or service.

He had the skills and talents to build a simple on-line book seller into a massive international marketing organization. People liked the services and merchandise he offered at reasonable prices and responded by giving him their business.

Because opportunity is definitely not a factor in that at all, right?
The opportunity existed and he took advantage of it. You or any other person could have done the same, but most often opportunities are sought out by those who upon finding them, take advantage of them along with the risks which may result in success or failure.

That was 20 years ago, What has he done lately to earn billions?

Are you a problem solver or protector?

Yes, that doesn't detract from what I've said.

Sure was good for him that his parents could bankroll his startup.

But no, I get it. Not recognizing privilege is part of being a Conservative.

No, you clearly have no idea of what skill is or its value, and simply say 'all the money he gets is fair compensation'. So if the best scientist in the country makes $1 million, the best surgeon in the country makes $2 million, and Bezos makes that in minutes because he owns a large retailer, it's because he's more skilled than them and deserves higher pay, but simply because it's how we have allowed our economy to distribute wealth.

There's more than one minimum wage.
There's only ONE Federally mandated minimum wage. Most large unionized corporations have a minimum wage that varies from one to another.

No, there's more than one.

I don't think ANYONE should get government handouts...unless they truly need it.

Everyone deserves the same government protections. You know...the equality thing.

Lending institutions are in business for themselves. They can lend to whomever they want to.

Bailouts...otherwise known as picking losers and winners is not something the government should be involved in.

Again...nobody gets handouts...unless they truly need it.

Do you have any other conditions for letting people do what they want with their own money?
