Maximum wage

So Jeff Bezos is simply millions of times more skilled than the rest of his employees? You’re going to argue that?
No. What Jeff Bezos has created is millions of times more valuable than what any single one of his employees has created.

Skill, effort, and value are three very different concepts and confusion follows any attempt to conflate them.

How so?

That evil 1% pay at least 40% of the fed income tax
You'd have to listen to some in-depth analysis and/or read a book:

Giants: The Global Power Elite – Rebroadcast
Although a new administration has taken office in Washington, the administrators of the world’s wealth have not changed. Project Censored presents a rebroadcast of “Giants: The Global Power Elite.” Project Censored Show cofounder Peter Phillips returned to the show as a guest in August 2018 to discuss his book about the ‘transnational corporate class.’ The product of years of research, “Giants” identifies the institutions and individuals who manage trillions of dollars of assets, and wield the political might that such riches confer. As the Biden administration takes charge, observers of politics might watch for representatives of the ‘Giants’ on the Biden team.

Boy they have so much power but are unable to stop this?

How would you know they pay federal taxes, when you didn't find anything out about who they are?

And, as long as someone pays taxes, you don't care what they do?

Hey, everyone, let's make every employer pay $20/hour for labor that's only with $10/hour for them. What could possibly go wrong with that?

Which "economists" say that?
Economists that have analyzed the data with regards to productivity, cost of living, inflation, etc. Dean Baker, Richard Wolff; off the top of my head.

Did any of his employees create a multi-billion dollar business or just put a box on a conveyer belt or drive a truck?

He created the business entirely by himself?

Yes, you missed the point.

Economists say that the minimum wage should be at least $20 an hour.
If you're trying to make a point, you've failed.
There probably are some economists who say the minimum wage should be $20 and hour, but your thread title is "Maximum wage", and my question was/is "And what IS the scientific maximum wage?"

That will result in wealthy people abandoning US citizenship. It will also slash income tax revenue which gets most of its revenue from the wealthy. People will also have less motivation to start a business and be successful which will hurt the economy.

Not that many people abandon US citizenship because you go through a really hefty tax when you depatriate. Many people have families in the US and it isn't practical to abandon citizenship. Only about 4,000 per year abandon US citizenship. I agree that business taxes will hurt business, but if anything higher personal taxes will motivate them to work more to earn the same money.

You didn't notice that I turned your reply back on you, huh?

A maximum wage isn't the same as taxing the rich. A maximum wage is basically a 100% tax after a certain point. There will be less motivation to work more if you are basically working for free. You will be taxed if you leave the country, but that will be better than a maximum wage.

I'll take that as a "no."

The effect of a tax increase isn't the same as a maximum wage. A max wage is too much of a good thing that ends up being a bad thing.

"Nice talking atcha."

And without any conditions nor public infrastructure?
Have no idea what conditions you might be thinking of, but...
Public infrastructure was/is created by other large businesses.

Public infrastructure is created and maintained only by private businesses?

So you are fanatically obsessed with your own concept of "fairness"?

"fairness" is utterly idiotic.
Don't you have a brilliant "destroy China" thread to tend to?

Thank goodness conservatives are becoming more and more transparent with their asinine antisocial tendencies. Thank you, reality TV president T****.
