Congressman Matt Gaetz, a close ally of former President Trump, asked the White House for a blanket preemptive pardon before Mr. Trump left office, two sources familiar with the situation confirm to CBS News.

One of the sources said Gaetz asked for the blanket preemptive pardon for both himself and other congressional allies. The source noted that Gaetz and a few others couched the request broadly, implying that anyone close to Mr. Trump should receive a preemptive pardon because "the left is ruthless." The New York Times first reported Gaetz asked the White House for a pardon.

"Clearly, Gaetz was protecting his own hide and was pursuing a 'safety in numbers,' 'we're all martyrs' strategy without revealing a DOJ investigation!" the source told CBS News.
 
I want to see the list of those that requested pardons.

Wow! This is sure true.
Back when I was a Democrat the party actually had a heart. They now are truly the party of hate and division. They thrive on it. The entire foundation of their party is built on it.
I'd go back to them if the party ever found a soul again but I fear those days are long gone. Joe Biden is a good example. He used to be a pretty decent guy but he has been poisoned by the hate-filled far-left that has completely hijacked the party that I loved so dearly. It's so sad that hate has become the norm because moderates in the party live in fear on the far-left vocal loonies and won't stand up to them. Maybe after the Dems get crushed in the mid-terms the normal dems will be mad enough to take their party back from the woke wackos.

Yes- Fox News is more like writing for a popular sitcom, reality TV show or TV series than reporting the actual news: you have to come up with stuff your audience wants to see and hear; keep them engaged and entertained. It’s like the Weat Wing or Real Housewives or something- only tangentially related to reality.

No wonder it’s so popular. Compared to Fox, actual news is just downright boring.

Fox “News” is not just “the other side of the story” or any legitimate “different perspective”. Its unlike any other news channel. It’s just a putrid cesspool of lies and misinformation designed deliberately to sow division, fear, mistrust, and hatred in the country- a slow IV drip of toxic poison in America’s veins going around-the-clock. And then we wonder why we are feeling so sick.
