But their audience doesn't require truth or facts. It only requires validation of its existing biases, fears and prejudices.

The history of Project Veritas is, literally, 100% fake-news-video-stings. The history of Tucker Carlson's opinion show on FauxNews is not much better.

Anything coming from those kinds of sources (Tucker, Veritas, Breitbart, the entire Trump adminstration, etc. etc.) is to be taken with the same level of seriousness as any piece from The Onion.

Now, if a LEGITIMATE news source had broken this story...that would be different.

No one (except for brainwashed fools and idiots) puts any trust in a Veritas sting video.

Great! If that's the standard then CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC and a bunch of other media outlets completely mangled stories related to Trump and his supporters. The Nick Sandman story is probably the most notable and most ignoble example of their brand of yellow journalism. Do you then agree that those sources should also be ignored because they promote nothing but propaganda?
