Wow. He's alive.

"SAN SALVADOR (AP) — Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen met Thursday in El Salvador with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a man who was sent there by the Trump administration in March despite an immigration court order preventing his deportation.

Van Hollen posted a photo of the meeting on X, saying he also called Abrego Garcia’s wife “to pass along his message of love.” The lawmaker did not provide an update on the status of Abrego Garcia, whose attorneys are fighting to force the Trump administration to facilitate his return to the U.S., saying he would have more details Friday."

Thank god. Now let's get Garcia home.

Oh thank God. I can take my morbid tin foil hat off now.

I thought he was most likely dead as well.
Hopefully the 4th circuit Court of Appeals decision today will be heeded by donalds merry band of douchebags.
Should go a little more ways to breaking down excuses for not bringing him home now.

I hate the fascist theatrics.

For the Red Cross visit, even the SS Scharfuhrer [squad leader] Rudolph Haindl was nice to the children for the benefit of the camera . . . he posed for the camera, smiling, and not insisting that he be greeted by Jews from a distance of three steps, as he had demanded just the day before. The town was improved for the purpose of filming and also for the visit by the Danish Red Cross—a request that had been supported by the Swedish government. Jewish women even had to brush the pavement with their hair brushes to help get things ready. The city square, where once there had been only military parades, was transformed into a garden with a musical stage. The city temporarily took on the appearance of a seaside resort. Stores were filled with relatively nice things (not, of course, actually for sale—such things were forbidden for prisoners). For a few days there was even a bank that looked like a real bank. The apartments of prominent Jews were furnished with new furniture. So that nothing would be spoiled the Nazis sent their own people as spies to mingle with Jews on the street, disguised as Jews, complete with yellow stars. Kitchens were painted. All types of cultural events were permitted: opera, concerts and operettas such as Die Fledermaus were performed . . . Nurses were given white uniforms . . .

We are headed here, to a period of relative calm established before the next wave of terror.

I wonder what the reason is that Bukele wont allow Garcia to return to the US with Van Hollen? DonOld asked him to, right? Bukele said he "couldnt smuggle a terrorist in"...this should erase that concern. Right? Or maybe he will :)

Anybody?

Interesting how Donald's hands were completely tied, and yet a lone senator is able to easily meet with and communicate with Garcia.
Donald's hands were never tied. He just does not want this man back . It was a horrible error on Donal'd's part ......and he wants to wash his hands of it and him. Let's not forget that Donald's relationship with facts and truth is non existent. This action was questionable legally anyhow. But that is Donald. (laws don't apply to him ....as in his pathological mind, he is the exception.)
They refuse to come up with evidence to support their claims of his "criminal past". But then , that is the pattern now. They make these claims, people's lives are destroyed and Donald could care less. His psychopathic callousness and inhumanity is of sinister proportions now.
They provided little or no evidence about the people they deported so hastily.......as if on some "cleansing " operation.
Donald is determined to be a one man law system.......disregarding the courts and their ruling ......... and that is a very dangerous path that could be heading to a constitutional crisis.

Did the Senator bring him home?

Isn't it amazing how the lousy luck of a single garishly tattooed Salvadoran has transformed that hapless thug into today's cause celebre to be used against Trump?
Senator Van Hollen looks like some sort of Progressive hero because he got a face-to-face with that Salvadoran thug.
