Mattis advised Bob Woodward in an email he agrees with Gen. Milley who's also retired these dayze to include Milley paying out of pocket for security coverage of himself and his family because Trump wants Milley dead. That is, Mattis agrees with Milley that Trump is a "fascist."

And that Trump "is a fascist to the core." In my own terminology of the past several years, Trump is a 21st Century Uniquely American Fascist. That is, a post Obama nutcase who has some features of European fascists and fascism while having other aspects of the suddenly upon us outburst of uniquely American fascism.

In his SecDef resignation letter to Trump Mattis said he "couldn't connect" with Trump. Each Mattis and Milley has been pretty quiet in retirement which has drawn some criticism that says each held a political policy position and should be speaking out straightforwardly. Mattis is getting feedback for his email to Woodward rather than coming forward to make his statements directly and openly. People say the military always and absolutely avoiding politics has been negated by Trump's fascism.


All the same, there will not be courts martial or military tribunals and hangings of generals and Liz Cheney and Adam Schiff or anyone Trump is maniacal against. The armed forces will not do any such thing because Trump is unfit and incompetent as C'nC; he's insane besides. The armed forces have no reason or justification to obey or respect any such American Caligula.
