Another one bites the dust. Wonder when the Election was Stolen group is going to get tired of losing in court.

"A trial court judge has said Republican secretary of state nominee Mark Finchem will be forced to pay attorney’s fees in what the judge called a “groundless” lawsuit that aimed to overturn his election loss.
"
“None of Contestant Finchem’s allegations, even if true, would have changed the vote count enough to overcome the 120,000 votes he needed to affect the result of this election,” Julian wrote in her ruling, adding that his claims were “groundless.”

The ruling slams the claims brought by Finchem and Cave Creek attorney Daniel McCauley as lacking merit. In her ruling, Julian noted that, while there needs to be a balance on brining sanctions against litigants for election contests as not to cause a “chilling effect” for those who bring propper concerns, Finchem’s case was brought in “bad faith” and McCauley and Finchem likely knew this.

Just about any time I see someone wearing a cowboy hat indoors with a suit, my BS meter pegs....

All one needs to know about his POS are two points in the article:

1. 'Finchem has been known to make bold claims and back out of providing evidence, as a recently released report from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office showed. Finchem met with then-Attorney General Mark Brnovich’s Election Integrity Unit investigators after he had made multiple claims online.

Investigators were interested in speaking with Finchem about claims he made regarding Pima County and him finding allegedly 35,000 fraudulent voters. But when Finchem met with investigators, he did not mention that allegation. Instead, he said he did not have any evidence of fraud and did not wish to take up their time.'

2. Finchem is still fundraising off the conspiracy theories of election fraud, saying that the funds will be going “toward paying down campaign debt as well as legal defense fees for ongoing lawsuits pertaining to the election.”

Finchem has no campaign debt and no ongoing election lawsuits.

So he's a grifting liar, playing his audience for fools and as marks. That's the MAGA GOP in a nutshell.

Creepy mustache man gotta pay.

Yet there are some today that still believe the Arizona election was rigged in 2020 against Trump and in 2022 against Lake, Finchem and others.

For the MAGA politicians that did win their race, it is the other races that were rigged, not mine. I won. :giggle:

I hope this impoverishes Finchem.

If anyone ever deserved it, he does.

I thought about making a thread about this one earlier but it's getting kind of redundant... The Trump circle is like the dirty rim of a gas station toilet...

LMAO! Needed a good laugh. Very funny! Thanks!

Yep. My first thought is, "Obviously my mother didn't raise you!"
Remember Bum Philips? Used to take his hat off in the Superdome when he coached the Saints because he was under a roof. I don't remember him at the dinner table but my mother could have raised him.

Finchem started in before the case ended to solicit donations. He is sending out emails and his website is still up.

Why isn't this illegal?

Why isn't this illegal?

Don't know if it is or not. People use "gofundme", for donations. Some use PAC's to filter money. PAC's seem to have leeway on what they can do with funds. Just ask Trump. :giggle:

LOL, I didn't know that about Bum Phillips, but it's a mark of a good man!

Anyway, I guess cowboy hats aren't common around here so maybe my view is biased, but I just can't stand to see idiots wearing that hat indoors. I have two and wear them as functional gear - rain gear mostly, but also for fishing because the wide brim protects my head, ears, neck from getting stuck with hooks when my fly casting goes awry, as it does occasionally, or when someone else's (like my wife's) fly cast does, which happens more often.

But there's this guy that sits near us at UT BB games, but in the big donor section, and he wears his damn hat all game. I don't know him but I irrationally perhaps already don't like him...

A well-trained one, anyway! In Bums case it might be the Marine Corps influence as much as his mother. In Vancouver we had an American coach of the BC Lions (I'm embarrassed that I don't remember his name) who was a Marine Corps vet and when we all stood for the anthem he saluted. The Canadian flag and anthem. Classy.

Yikes! Maybe you need one of those bee-keepers outfits!
I just wear straw hats and they usually are pretty sad-looking by the time I find a replacement because I have a head like a watermelon.

You probably wouldn't like him if you did know him. He probably wears that hat at Montana's while he's laughing with his mouth full of brisket.

Finchem should have been disbarred.

While they try to tell us how the dems are destroying their america.

I've tried to find a straw hat that works and just cannot do it. Most of the good ones are too 'white' for me (I imagine they scare the trout) and I've bought a few but they're just not as comfortable as my felt 'cowboy' hats, that also stay on in the wind if I want. In the summer and for travel I use a Tilley hat that I've had for 15 years or so now.

None of any Republicans' allegations at ANY level, in ANY election, would have changed the outcomes.

These people are ****ing mental, from Trump on down to the lowest MAGA election denier. I hope they all go bankrupt paying court fees.
