Well this is interesting. Four photos that I didn't take or download appeared in my gallery overnight.

It's the one below and three pictures of internal pages.

Anyone know how this could happen?

That looks like Adbusters.
 
I am sad to report that i did not have them appear in my gallery.

I guess i'm not part of the revolution.

People on Reddit are discussing it. The portal allowing it is Whatsapp, which I don't have on my phone.

You took them or downloaded them. That is the simplest explanation. The problem, afaict, is that you don't remember writing the manifesto or taking pictures of it. This points to an innate need for intellectual recognition, perhaps aided by mind altering substances, a fugue state, or an inability to reconcile the cognitive dissonance between the manifesto and your conscious thoughts.

The three photos of the internal pages include someone holding the pages open. That's not my thumb!

In addition any Manifesto I wrote about climate change would focus on the benefits. As a Canadian I fully support global warming.

is there any EXIF data?
 
Open source investigators (Bellingcat etc) can oftentimes use Exif data to geolocate when and where a smartphone picture was taken.

Despite Kremlin denials, it was one method used in 2014 to show that Russian military units had actually crossed the border and were physically in Ukraine. Especially useful with Instagram soldier selfies.
