Tragic, and sorry for family.
Mateo had been working on installing Christmas lights on the roof of a home in San Diego on November 21 when he died in a freak accident.
A medical examiner ruled Mateo's death an accident after he electrocuted when he threw lights over a high-voltage power line.
Yes, accident, but not sure about the freak part the writer seems to say, when  you yourself throw lights over power lines.

Tragic mistake. Family must be devastated.

Bad timing. Should have done in January to get a head start on Darwin awards.

Oh shit. That's unfortunate.

I'm really sorry to hear that.

Going back and forth between tragic and terrible loss of life, and was there still time to get a spectacular entry into this year's Darwin Awards?

Why god why would you be anywhere near power lines putting up Christmas lights?

I starts with being harnessed up in a tree. If you are going that far, you are going to far.

But one would think, if you've safety harnessed yourself, you would say, hey, those power lines look like a risk?

Horrible. Glad my utilities are underground.

Tragic, and sorry for family.

My sincerest condolences to his Family and friends.
