Man arrested after driving child-size pink Barbie Jeep through Prince George, B.C.

The Barbie car does not require a driver license to operate.
Neither does a bike. But both can veer into traffic.

Hell, when I was young, drunk, and walking from one place to another after hours(oh, I was drunk!), cop stopped me and took me the rest of the way. Could have got me public intox, but just didn't want me to step into traffic.

Sounds like a nice cop.

I am glad it worked out for you.

I have a similar story.

When i was in college walking home afrer the bar closed, a cop stopped me and i think was going to cite me for public intoxication until i pointed out my car, which was parked a block back, and explained that i was walking because i knew better than to drive, being responsible, instead of giving me a ticket he gave me a ride.

I think he just saw me doing the weave and didn't want to wake up to a news story about a young man plastered all over SR74 and realise he passed by. Had bigger fish to fry that night as far as citations.

You are correct in many ways. I would take this public and humiliate the RCMP for going anywhere near it.

The crown needs to drop the charge and tell the RCMP to knock their bullshit off.

I would also make sure the officer in command of those two officers felt some pain from this.
Your comments convey a very vindictive person with little knowledge of appropriate consequences.

I doing exactly what legal counsel would do.
No it isn't.
I would make it widely known that RCMP arrested a man playing with a child's toy. I would make sure RCMP's bad behaviors (and their history of heavy-handed tactics) was in the news.
As per the OP link "Speaking to CBC News, Lincoln said he was getting ready to go get a slurpee with a friend but "got lazy" and decided to borrow his roommate's child's tiny car to get around, as his friend walked along beside him."

Wasn't 'playing', was using it as a vehicle of conveyance.
I would make sure the public knows that RCMP has no trouble arresting people playing with children's toys and label them a group of bullies.
See above
I would make sure that my client gave an interview with the media about his treatment by RCMP.
again, per the OP link: "He was really nice," Lincoln said of the arresting officer. "He was filling out all of this paperwork, saying 'This is my first time!'"

RCMP would get a huge black eye and would be under the spotlight.

I am sure they would tire of the bad press and tell their officers to stop doing stupid shit.

How about READING the link supplied for the story, eh?

Where's that picture of that woman who turned herself into a real life Barbie?

Well...that makes sense.
We all know what happens when drunks in Ireland take the train home.

I am not vindictive. I believe the police have better uses than harassing a man in a barbie jeep.

I do tend to be a little vicious at times. That would be the military in me. This is kind of how the military works. When a person drops the ball, they pay for it.

For the record, the police operate very much like the military in many ways.

Be well.

Yes it is, and no they don't. That's an extreme punishment for doing one's job.
That's not extreme. Extreme would be a 30-day unpaid suspension.

This is just enough to get the idea across that wasting time on a man in a pink barbie jeep is not acceptable.
