Majority of Republican voters not planning on getting Covid vaccine

You can say your decision has nothing to do with political affiliation, but it’s interesting how directly correlated political affiliation seems to be with vaccination refusal.
Trump doesn't want them to get vaccinated. That why he and his wife got vaccinated in secret

I am in favor of this, actually.

I'm waiting for the VA to offer the J&J vaccine (the VA currently only offers Pfizer). Which political affiliation would that put me under?
That's not true, at least in my area - I got both vaccines at the VA and I got the Moderna.

this one way to thin out conservative voters = you go conservatives keep up the good work.

if you get vaccinated was one type of vaccine, it’s OK to get a booster from a second type of vaccine.
I wasn't talking about boosters. Nice try changing the topic.

The CDC says to only get 1. So, I'm waiting to make my 1 the better one because I'm not all that exposed to the public anyway. I can take the short-term risk.

As I said, has nothing to do with "being contrary", party affiliation or politics.

If you get two different kinds of vaccines, that would be considered a booster. It’s OK to mix different kinds of vaccines. They would work synergistically.

But anyway, I don’t wanna argue this anymore. Do what you like.

Wayne Jr. is full of bull. Trolling for attention.

I am a liberal and all for universal healthcare. But you have to worry a little bit about ideas like the above. People can be hypochondriacs/over-anxious/needy, etc... and they will abuse the system. They will come in for every little sniffle and every time they bump their toe against the bedpost at night. It’s amazing how much even something like a $10 copay can do to minimize such frivolous visits. There has to be a little bit of skin in the game for patients. Maybe for the very poor, there can be exceptions, like a one dollar co-pay.

This concern is akin to worrying about voter fraud.

Nah, just talk to any doctor who deals with those who have no copays/deductibles. Their office gets swamped with all sorts of nonsense from over-anxious and hypochondriac patients, leaving no room for them to be able to see people with actual serious medical problems.

Just a note. I've seen absolutely nothing that supports this concern. Medicare/Medicaid, IMO, is probably the best source of people most likely having the time to complain. Millions of patients having no copay or deductible. I don't know of any actuarial experience any diff than that of similar age that involves payment.

What about your obligation to your fellow countrymen, to build herd immunity so that all are safe and the disease eradicated?
Right wingers suffer from an inability to think of the world and any consequences outside of their immediate peripheral. If it doesn't affect them directly then it's a non-issue.

My wife got the Pfizer vaccine, but I won't. If I get Covid, and as I am healthy and not obese, the chances of medical complications are rare. If I am one of the minority of individuals that are healthy and not obese that actually does have complications.. C'est la vie.
I'm gonna guess if you do get covid and end up on a ventilator, you'll get the vaccine if you survive. Dude lose the I'm a man attitude, it might get you killed.

Looks like the corrosive effects of Trump's toxic lies downplaying the seriousness of the Covid pandemic and its dismissal as some kind of "Democrat hoax" is continuing to kill, sicken, and maim Americans, most of all his own voters. This poll shows most of them now don't plan on getting the vaccine, a strategy which is likely to prolong the pandemic, make it more difficult to control for all of us, and continue killing and sickening Americans everywhere.

"A new poll of likely voters in Michigan showed that more than a quarter don't plan to get vaccinated for COVID-19, a finding that, if accurate, could extend the length of time it takes to move past the pandemic and could put more lives at risk.

The poll released Tuesday also found that while large percentages of self-identified Democrats and independents plan to get vaccinated, nearly half of Republicans — 47% — do not, compared with 46% who plan to be vaccinated...

Some national polls have shown similar results regarding the level of resistance among some Republicans to be vaccinated. The EPIC-MRA poll also indicated that college-educated Michiganders were more likely to get the vaccine, as were those who described themselves as moderate or liberal politically, compared with conservatives."

These Republican Michiganders probably did not hear that both Trump and Melania ended up secretly getting the vaccine themselves in January, right before he left office. This is despite the fact that he had the infection earlier, and likely already had some immunity against the virus already. Why did he keep it secret? He could do an enormous service to his voters by urging them to go ahead and get the vaccine. He has a cult-prophet level of credibility with them. He could very literally save their lives now with a few such simple words and encouragement, and yet he will not cross the street to piss on them even though they are literally on fire. It's all about him and his personal agenda. It was never about them.
I thought if you had the vaccine, you were good. What do you care if others don't get it?

None. However in my opinion it would put you into a certain group of people. As one health official said in response to the question which is the best vaccine. Her response, whichever one you can get into your arm first.

The guy calling himself 'Bongsaway' is concerned about others' health. Interesting.

Again, if you've had the shot, what are you worried about?
And you have the balls to say something about me being concerned about other folks health. I'm sure you don't see the irony.
