This isn't a case of 'a president abuses power to do something to enrich themselves instead of serving the country'. It's a case of a president that abuses power caring only about enriching them (and their donors) and not at all about the country. I can't recall one thing trump has done not for his own and donor enrichment and benefit, or a con job.

Look, I honestly like most of my MAGA neighbors out here in Trumplandia but there comes a point where you have to ask. It's like they've invited a true thief into our midst and I and folks like me can't get rid of him because they've invited him in. You point out the illegal actions taking place right in front of us all and they don't seem to notice, or they do and they just don't care.

Add to it the things like the local hospital out here in the stix making noises like they may have to shut down important services, or close completely, and the announcement that NJ Family Plan medical insurance premiums are going to almost double [NJ is a blue state so it won't be as bad here] and one has to ask: "Hey, you know you are getting Trump f##ked, right? I mean. I am on Medicare and employer reimbursed Medicare Part B but you are about to get hammered. That doesn't bother you?" I am an old hump with real medical problems. It bothers me. Hell, it could kill me or my wife. Her medical issues are worse than mine.

- They see Donald as someone who agrees with them that transgenders are an existential threat
- They see Donald as someone who agrees with them that "Big Pharma" threatens their health with vaccines and drugs
- They see Donald as someone who recognizes and reinforces traditional roles for men and women
- They see Donald as someone who does not bow and scrape to foreign nations but stands up to them

- They see Donald as someone who agrees with them that minorities in urban areas are predisposed to crime, and must be met with force to control them

If Donald makes billions off being POTUS, if he makes questionable alliances with authoritarian states and undermines alliances with the West, MAGAs believe it's a small price for Americans to pay in exchange for him saving the nation from their enemies.
